Big Brother 6, August 27 Live Feeds: The Key to the Backdoor

James tells Janelle that Michael was crazy, and talks about the incident between him and Eric. It's what tipped him off that Kaysar and Michael were friends. He also notes they are the biggest bunch of whackos on a reality TV show, except for The Surreal Life. Janelle wonders why Eric didn't like her. Both have different views on things, with James saying Kaysar lied a lot about Eric, and Janelle denies it. Howie joins them, and they start talking about past houseguests. Howie thinks Lisa (winner, Big Brother 3) bought breast implants with the money. Howie thinks Janelle was shortchanged as HOH, with her not getting a blog, and only a short stay in the HOH room (for the record, I do think Janelle should have gotten an HOH blog, even after a short stay due to the nature of double eviction week).

Ivette and James talk, and James asks her if April has decided what she wanted to do yet. Ivette says that April isn't safe with Howie and Janelle in the game, but her selfish side is coming out. She compares Janelle to Lori of Big Brother 5, and her taking the cash, which led to her eviction. Somehow, I don't see the comparison. Janelle seems to have won her prizes with some degree of luck instead of taking a prize by putting the rest of the house on PB&J for a week.

They go and play coasters, and talk about children. James prefers to adopt, while Ivette wants to carry one. James asks her about a father, and Ivette has some guy who is friend of hers in mind. James tells her that Sarah wants to name their first child Isabella, and notes both his and her father are named James. Ivette wants to give birth during the first week of August. They go on to talk about their debts. James finally notes that if he gets put up, there are enough votes to evict him. Ivette goes on about missing her family, and wants the America's Choice phone call and some photos from home.

In the HOH room, Maggie, Beau, and April go through April's clothes. Apparently she hasn't worn most of them on the show yet, and they talk about how cute they are, and what she should wear for the live show. April hopes America has gone from hating her to loving her in the past week. Maggie asks her what makes her think America hates her, and she said Howie told her last week. Maggie says he's full of garbage. Actually, she used a different word.

Ivette joins them, and trash talks Janelle. She would hate her making it to the finals. April says she'd hate seeing James, Howie, and Janelle in the finals. Maggie points out they all have different opinions on who the worst person is. Maggie and April says it would be tempting to get rid of Janelle this week for personal reasons. They do some more trash talking about her. Then talk turns to suicide, with Maggie noting there is at least one a week in Las Vegas. Ivette says in Miami they do it when people lose their money and home. Ivette then talks about her mother, who is a problem gambler. Ivette gives her about $150 a week, which she puts into slot machines, and plays 20 bingo cards at a time. April tells her she is enabling her, but Ivette says she won't stop.

Howie takes a late night shower, then goes through more grooming. He briefly takes to James about how there are fewer dirty dishes with fewer houseguests. Both talk about the number Janelle uses – apparently enough for six people.

Finally everybody goes to bed.

Summary. The Veto competition was held today, with the game involving padlocked veto symbols. It's logical to guess the competition involved finding the right key, with the winner winning Veto power. Janelle ended up with a key that opened another safe, and won a luxury trip to the Bahamas. The Friendship is jealous over the stuff that Janelle has won, and plans to get rid of her next. For now, they plan to remove her with Veto and put up James to backdoor him.
