American Idol 4, May 25: Over and Out, by Sting7: Over 100,000 auditions, higher ratings than ever before, the exit of Mario Vasquez, the return of Corey Clark, Paulagate, the mystery of Trenyce, Simon’s early proclamation, the strange and curious journey of Scott Savol, the emancipation of Baby V, the fall of Constantine – all a part of this rollercoaster ride called season four of American Idol. Tonight, a winner is announced between Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood. Tomorrow, we grieve.

American Idol 4, May 24: The Finale - Bo vs. Carrie, by Sting7: The southern rocker vs the farm girl. Could anything be more American? This talented duo have outlasted almost 100,000, and are dueling for supremacy in this last night of competition on American Idol. Both contestants bring their A games, and Simon makes a prediction. So, does Sting7! Do either of them change their minds? Have you? Details are here!

Hall of Fame Moment: Bo Bice’s “Unplugged” Performance of “In a Dream”, by Donna Reynolds: Bo Bice had already thrilled his fans with a series of outstanding performances leading up to the final three round. But his a cappella rendition of Badland’s “In a Dream” was unprecedented in American Idol history, and certainly helped to secure his position in the Top Two. For that, Bo has earned a Hall of Fame Moment.

American Idol 4, May 18 - Three Into Two, by Sting7: The three remaining contestants are about to become two. Bo Bice definitely made a statement last night about why he should be the American Idol. Carrie and Vonzell have a lot of work to do – but, they have to make it past tonight. Did America endorse Bo’s big gamble? Will Vonzell, the perceived number three, be able to edge past Carrie to make it to the finals? The answers are here!

American Idol 4, May 17 - In The Presence of Greatness, by Sting7: Tonight, special guest judge Clive Davis sits in on the proceedings. Look up music industry heavyweight, you'll probably see a picture of Clive! Needless to say, with one show to go until finals, and with Clive weighing in, the three remaining hopefuls strived to put out their best effort. One Idol did everything shy of making next week a foregone conclusion! They even earned Clive's vote of confidence before the night was even half over! Could it have been Bo Bice?

American Idol 4: Voting for the Worst Just Doesn’t Work, by David Bloomberg: After Constantine was voted off of American Idol 4, some people were quick to blame websites that advocated voting for the worst contestant. What has happened since then, though? David looks at why some viewers and the media were simply giving them too much credit

Corey Claims ‘Explicit’ Evidence, But He’s Losing the P.R. Battle, by David Bloomberg: Corey Clark is making another attempt to get the headlines. This time his lawyer is claiming Corey has “explicit” evidence to support his allegations about Paula. But he won’t show it. Meanwhile, his old manager isn’t exactly giving him a whole lot of support. David brings us up to date on the story.

American Idol 4, May 11 - It’s Like Rain On Your Wedding Day , by Sting7: Last night, the Idols took a tour of town and country - specifically, country music and the Philadelphia Soul sound of Gamble and Huff. With only four contestants, anything could happen. Vonzell Solomon had an emotional night that we were told of, but not about. Could Vonzell’s next night be even worse?

American Idol 4, May 10 - The Game and How To Change It, by Sting7: With just four Idols left, anything can happen (historically, it usually does this week! Tamyra Gray? Latoya London?). Could we be in for another big surprise? One Idol has stepped up the game considerably. The other three had to struggle throughout the night. Carrie Underwood is the odds-on favorite to win it all in some circles. How does she fare tonight?

Corey’s Story Has Holes, But We Still Need Answers from Paula, by David Bloomberg: After watching the Primetime Live special, David has found a number of holes in Corey’s allegations. However, he also believes there is enough to support Corey’s claims that we cannot simply throw them on the trash heap. Which evidence is good and which is bad, and what does the future hold for Paula? Read on to find out!

American Idol: The Aftermath, by Sting7: The morning after the Primetime Live explosion, fans of American Idol are left reeling. Could Corey Clark have been telling the truth? What happens to American Idol now, especially Paula Abdul? Sting7, admitted Idolholic, shares his thoughts as a journalist, and as a fan.

PrimeTime Live - Fallen Idol: A Paula Affair, by Sting7: Finally, the PrimeTime Live expose’ of American Idol it promised would "change the way you watch American Idol forever." It is the story of Corey Clark and his alleged affair with Paula Abdul. Is Corey Clark a disgruntled disqualified wannabe, or a broken-hearted young man who was in over his head? You decide.

American Idol 4, May 4 - I Will Ease Your Mind, by Sting7: There are only five contestants, and within minutes there will be four. All five have proven they deserve to be there by your votes. Losing anyone will be sad. But, is there something darker afoot. Constantine last week, could Bo Bice be this week? Is there a plan to eliminate the best contestants?

American Idol Scandal: Could Paula Really Be That Dumb?, by David Bloomberg: Some of the details of Corey Clark’s accusations – to air more fully tonight on ABC – have been released. As we look at them and compare Paula Abdul’s supposed behavior, we have to wonder: Could she really have been that dumb?

ABC Releases Information on ‘Fallen Idol’ Special – But Will the Allegations Stand?, by David Bloomberg: As the Primetime Live “Fallen Idol” special approaches, ABC has finally released some information about what we can expect out of the interview with Corey Clark. Will it stand up to scrutiny? So far, not really.

American Idol 4, May 3 - Five Will Give You Two, by Sting7: There are only five Idols left, and for all the grieving and complaining that has been going on about last Wednesday’s vote, everyone seems to have forgotten about Anthony Fedorov! Perpetually on the bubble, still he survives! While you were hypnotized, Anthony has found his groove. Will he finally impress Simon tonight?

The American Idol ‘Scandal’ and Trenyce’s Part In It: Curiouser and Curiouser, by Sting7: Unfortunately for Corey Clark, the only gleaming light of credibility in his allegations against Paula Abdul seemed to be in the form of fellow season two finalist, Trenyce. Earlier, Trenyce noted in an email to her fans that she would be participating in the PrimeTime Live segment that promises explosive information about American Idol. But that appears to have changed. In Trenyce’s latest email, she tells why the change has happened and her feelings about the public’s utter dismissal of Clark’s claims.

American Idol: If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Destroy Them, by Sting7: As the world waits anxiously to see just what PrimeTime Live is going to say about the highest rated television show in America, some news is beginning to leak. Alternately, what does ABC have to gain by American Idol’s fall, and why are the other networks craning their necks and licking their chops? Also, how Fox is strategically drawing the battle lines to protect its prized program.

The American Idol “Scandal”: Paula Speaks!, by Sting7: Finally, there is a response from the Idol camp to allegations that Paula Abdul had an affair with disqualified contestant Corey Clark in season two. In fact, not only is Paula talking, but so is the whole American Idol crew. Plus, some possible insight into the PrimeTime Live charges. And some insight into Paula’s strange behavior?

American Idol 4, April 27: Rage Against the Machine, by Sting7: It happens every season. You had to know it was coming. Last night, the gang sang songs from the new millennium, which should have put everyone at ease. But, tonight, the six will become five, and the Idol who is leaving will shock you. This will be what everyone is talking about! Here’s a clue, it’s not the guy on the right!

American Idol: Scandal or Puffery?, by Sting7: There is plenty of buzz about the latest American Idol scandal. Corey Clark is alleging that he had an affair with Paula Abdul while he was competing on American Idol. ABC feels that it has enough dirt to devote an entire episode of PrimeTime Live to “explosive allegations.” What does this have to do with Trenyce? And what could all of this mean to the future of American Idol?

American Idol 4, April 26: AI2K!, by Sting7: At the halfway point in the competition, the contestants get a chance to sing some songs they are probably quite used to singing – songs of the new millennium. It’s at the point where every single note counts. Pressure like never before! Vonzell Solomon has been knocking them out of the park for weeks now. Can she do it again?

American Idol 4, April 20: The Last Dance, by Sting7: Last night, on American Idol, the remaining seven took a shot at dance music of the seventies. Tonight, in the most grueling season ever, another talent has fallen. Here’s a hint – three weeks ago, you would have said no way will this person leave before final three! You would have been wrong. It couldn’t possibly be the angelic Anwar Robinson? Could it?

American Idol 4, April 19: Sing, Sing a (Disco) Song!, by Sting7: The seven remaining Idols are charged with the task of tackling songs older than they are, in most cases, as theme for the week is ‘70s dance music. The ‘70s brought us lots of memorable dance music, but can these children of the ‘80s pull of that fabled era? Anthony Fedorov is beginning to build momentum, but can he dial in to disco enough to last another week?

American Idol 4, April 13: Say It Isn’t So, by Sting7: Tuesday night on Idol, the gang got to sing songs from the year they were born, and gave some of the most talked-about performances of the season. Hall and Oates managed to get an already prickly contestant in trouble, two contestants continued their giant steps in improvement, and two odds-on favorites found themselves standing on either side of Ryan Seacrest – meaning one of them was leaving! It couldn’t possibly be Carrie Underwood! Or could it?

American Idol 4, April 12: They Were Just Babies Then!, by Sting7: This week, the eight remaining contestants are faced with the task of singing a song from the year they were born. How do they manage with songs literally as old as they are? Scott Savol’s Idol journey has been fraught with speed bumps and pot holes, here lately. How does Scott manage to mix a triumphant moment with a potentially damning error? Click here to find out.

American Idol 4, April 6: Truth Is, It’s Something of a Shocker, by Donna Reynolds: Tuesday night was a challenge to all nine remaining Idol contestants. Some did better than others, but I would bet that all of them are glad this one is over. On the results show, Fantasia stops by for a visit and then we find out whose light goes out this week.

American Idol 4, April 5: A Bit too Broadway?, by Donna Reynolds: For the first time in Idol history, the kids are singing show tunes – normally the bane of Simon’s existence. Who will sink under the weight of this genre, and who will succeed? How will “rocker” Bo handle the lights on Broadway?

American Idol 4, March 30: When You Least Expect It, Expect It!, by Sting7: This is a hotly contested competition. We are quickly learning that there is absolutely no room for error from week to week. People who you think have built enough of a following to coast for awhile are finding themselves near the bottom of the polls. Last week, it was Nadia. This week, could it possibly be the smoldering sensation known as Constantine Maroulis?

American Idol 4, March 29: Keeping It Real: The Sequel, by Sting7: We now have a top ten. And as such, the expectations are higher, the judging is tougher. Last week, we saw unexpected Idols step up their games considerably, while others are faltering. That trend continues tonight! In a competition this tight, it’s simple – one false note could spell your doom. Just ask Nadia Turner after her scary visit to the bottom three how fickle the finger of fate can be?

American Idol 4, March 24: Super-Size Me , by Sting7: Finally, we get to the results show in this industrial-strength, economy-sized week of Idol shows! All of the votes have been counted, all of the telephone numbers were correct, and everyone got a chance to get a second look at the performances. Did it change your mind? Usually reliable Anwar Robinson struck a sour chord Tuesday night. Will America forgive him?

American Idol 4, March 23: The Great Do-Over, by Sting7: A funny thing happened on the way to the elimination. A voting boo-boo has caused the delay of the eliminated contestant. In fact, we all have to vote again. Will the egg on Fox’s face be hard-boiled or over easy? How will they explain this mishap? More importantly, on second review, will opinions change? Mikalah Gordon had a brief bout of teenaged angst, did it save her from almost certain doom?

Idol Phone Number Snafu and the Resulting Ripple, by Sting7: An unusual mistake in the airing of phone numbers to vote for Idol hopefuls has resulted in an additional night of Idol programming – tonight! What happened, what it means for the contestants, and why other networks are paying the price, details of all right here.

American Idol 4, March 22: Number 11 – Straight To Heaven, by Sting7: Surprise, surprise! The theme this week is Number One Hits, and if you think you know which Idol is going to top the charts in the competition this week, you will probably be very wrong. The judges are as elated this week as they were grumpy last week.

Sold: American Idol , by Sting7: It was recently announced that our favorites faces from American Idol may be answering to a new boss! Idol Executive Producer Simon Fuller has sold 19 Entertainment to the man who owns Elvis! What does that mean? What will it mean to the show and its stars? The details are here.

American Idol 4, March 16: The First Goodbye , by Sting7: Last night, it was the return of Nikko. It was also the first theme night of the season. It was a night Randy woke up on the wrong side of the dawg house. Tonight, one of the Top 12 will be history. Is it spunky Jessica Sierra?

American Idol 4, March 15: Opening Night Jitters , by Sting7: The beginning of the Top 12 round seems to have claimed to nerves of many of the remaining contestants. Or, are they still rocked by the sudden exit of Mario Vazquez. Whatever the case, Randy the Dawg has never shown this many teeth! Will once-favorite Carrie Underwood reclaim her status tonight?

American Idol 4, March 9: Movin’ On!, by Sting7: Tonight, the Top 12 will be known, at the expense of two more men and women who wil fall short of the mark. After this week, every man or woman for herself! Lindsey Cardinale hasn’t delivered on her potential, so the judges have been saying, but will America disagree?

American Idol 4, March 8: One Step Closer, by Sting7: The eight remaining ladies are doing their best to compete their way into the Top 12, knowing there is a crop of male singers who are dusting them so far this season. Calculated risks abound, and as usual, some work, some don’t. The new, mature Mikalah Gordon has one judge "puzzled." Has she done enough to make it to the next phase of the competition?

American Idol 4, March 7: One Last Shot, by Sting7: The eight remaining men take their final shot at the Top 12. All of them seem to be taking some risks to ensure their spot. Some risks work out better than others. Mario Vazquez has been sailing through the competition so far, but could tonight bring some turbulence to his journey?

American Idol 4, March 2: The Sweet Sixteen, by Donna Reynolds: Twenty minus four equals sixteen, and that’s what we’ll have after tonight’s elimination show. Questions abound. Will Janay Castine have a strong enough fan base to keep her in the game? Which of the guys will draw the short end of the stick? Read on to find out.

American Idol 4, March 1: It’s Ladies Night and the Feelin’ Ain’t Right, by Donna Reynolds: Can the ladies top the showstoppers we saw Monday night? From the men, Bo certainly got himself noticed, and today, his rendition of “Whipping Post" is all the buzz. Which of the ladies will rise to the top and who will sink like a stone? We’re ready to go.

American Idol 4, February 28: Drop It Like It’s Hot!, by Donna Reynolds: Ten guys remain with only six slots in the finals. Last week, they all had a rather rude awakening. Did they learn anything, and will they “bring it” tonight? Can a rocker like Bo really be an American Idol? Get ready, because here they come!

American Idol, February 23: Four on the Floor, by Sting7: We saw the men perform Monday, and we voted. We saw the ladies perform Tuesday, and we voted. Now it’s time for those results to be known. If you think you know how this is going to turn out, you are sorely mistaken! Can Travis Tucker's megawatt smile save him another week?

American Idol 4, February 22: Hits and the Misses, by Sting7: The second night of the Top 24 competition features the ladies at bat. The judges are making it perfectly clear they want originality and they want star quality. Only a couple deliver. Some unknowns don’t make themselves memorable, and one contestant has become quite annoying already. Any guesses?

American Idol 4, February 21: The Curse of Stevie Wonder, by Sting7: The twelve male members of the Top 24 compete to keep from elimination. This is their chance to start building a following with their body of work. And, they do not disappoint. Clearly showing this will be the most competitive Idol yet, how will your favorites fare?

American Idol 4, February 16: Where The Nitty Meets The Gritty!, by Sting7: So many faces, so few spots! Soon, there will only be 24 contestants left, and we, America, take control. We’ve gotten to know a lot of finalists, and some are beginning to look special. But, how will the judges decide? Tonight, we meet the Top 24! Is Anthony Fedorov among them?

American Idol 4, February 15: Four Rooms, by Sting7: No rest for the weary. The 193 Hollywood hopefuls are down to a tired 75. They have one more shot to sing their way to the next round. With so many talented people, the cut will be deep and painful. Be assured that you will say goodbye to some of your favorites! Could crooning Ross Williams be cut?

American Idol 4, February 9: Group Dynamics and Other Odious Beasts, by Sting7: The pressure is higher as the remaining 97 are split into groups to perform en masse for the judges. Some rise mightily to the challenge. Others fail miserably. And others still are given one more golden chance. Who spends the night in the hospital instead of rehearsing? Whose failure to learn lyrics gets them tossed? The picture gets a little clearer.

American Idol 4, February 8: Dreams Can Come True... Nightmares Too!, by Sting7: Almost 200 young Idol hopefuls were given golden tickets as their entry way to Hollywood. But now that they are there, the real work begins! Many of your favorites will fall tonight. Surely not Nadia Turner! It was fun before, but those times are over. Over!

American Idol 4, February 2: Udderly Ridiculous in San Francisco, by Donna Reynolds: Tuesday night, 28.30 million of us tuned in to watch the American Idol crew run through Cleveland and Orlando. Now it's time for the final stop on the audition road, San Francisco. One can only imagine what might turn up in the city by the bay! Donna Reynolds is pinch-hitting for Sting for this episode. Read on for her impressions of the show.

American Idol 4, February 1: Expect The Unexpected, by Sting7: Tonight, Idol makes two stops in one show – Cleveland and Orlando. The theme of the night seems to be "I didn’t expect that!" Some powerful performances come from some unlikely places. LL Cool J sits in with the judges in Cleveland, and Paula makes a definite stand in Orlando!

American Idol 4, January 26: The Lights Get Brighter!, by Sting7: The American Idol ride has been a bumpy one with the talent displayed so far. Or, lack of it. However, it looks like we are turning the proverbial corner on the stop in Las Vegas! We meet some folks that are definitely worth getting excited about as Kenny Loggins sits in on the proceedings.

American Idol 4, January 25: Crunk and Loathing in New Orleans, by Sting7: Stop number three on the search for the Next Big Thing is New Orleans, LA. New Orleans is a city with a rich musical heritage and an apparent shortage of talent! However, tonight we are introduced to a definite contender! No, not that guy on the right! And... American Idol gets crunk?

American Idol 4, January 19: Grading On An Arch, by Sting7: The search continues for the freshest undiscovered talent in all the land! The Idol machine makes a stop in St. Louis, where we meet more strange hopefuls and see a few very good ones. But we are in the portion of the program where bad auditions (like Mary Roach’s last night) rule the day. How bad was it? Click here and see.

American Idol 4, January 18: Breaking The Band, by Sting7: The fourth season of American Idol has finally arrived. You know the drill, don’t look for possible winners yet. This is all about the celebration of the absurd. From our nation’s capital, the search for best undiscovered talent in America begins anew!

American Idol 4: "The Toughest Yet", by Sting7: The countdown has begun to season four of American Idol. But beware! There are changes this year! We’ll detail those changes, and the American Idol judges themselves will tell us what we’re in for. Read all about it right here!
