Real World Las Vegas, the Final Episode: Farewell But Not Goodbye, by Jen Shrader: Hey everybody, Arissa's really changed! This week it's a self-described "Love Fest" as the roommates say goodbye in Sin City. Will Arissa find a way not to slide back into her old ways in Boston? And what will become of Alton and Irulan (and who cares?)?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 27: The Liars’ Club, by Jen Shrader: This edition of Real World is soon coming to an end - but there is still plenty of time for relationships to start, end, continue, end, start again, and be left up in the air. And certainly there are more than enough chances for people to lie to one another!
Reality News Update, March 25: Paula’s Necklace, Hillbilly Protests, Evan & Zora, Big Brother 4, and a Real World Auction, by David Bloomberg: More news from the world of reality TV. Paula Abdul is selling the necklaces she gave to American Idol contestants and MTV is selling stuff from Real World Las Vegas, including the condom jar. Also, Congressmen are protesting The Real Beverly Hillbillies, it's officially over for Evan and Zora, and Big Brother 4 applications are now being accepted!
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 26: Coyote Skanky, by Jen Shrader: With three more episodes to go, the Steven-Trishelle and Alton-Irulan plot lines are as ready for retirement as Alton's box springs. Can we solve these relationships once and for all? And move on to something else? Please??
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 25: Brynn Gets a Plotline!, by Jen Shrader: Yes, it’s true – Brynn actually speaks this episode, and has a real sub-plot. OK, so most of the episode still revolves around somebody else (in this case Arissa), but still, at least it’s not more Steven/Trishell or Alton/Irulan. At least ‘til next week.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 24: This Show Is Weird, by Jen Shrader: There is simply no way around it - Real World Las Vegas just keeps getting weirder and weirder. This week we deal with not just one inside-the-house hookup, but two. Are Steven and Trishelle back together? What about Alton and Irulan? Weirdness prevails over all.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 23: Love, Real World Style, by Jen Shrader: Steven and Trishelle were together. Now they're not. Trishelle is with Brian. Or is she? Does Steven still have feelings for her? Or is he just jealous? Plus, why are the women walking around in bathing suits during a windstorm?
Real World/Road Rules: 19 Degrees of Reality Hookups, by Jason Borelli: It seems like every time you turn around, somebody from Real World or Road Rules is hooking up. That may be because, well, every time you turn around, that is indeed what is happening! MTV had a special on discussing the various hookups. Let’s take a look.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 22: “I Love You” … or Not, Part ehhh, Who Cares?, by Jen Shrader: Irulan and Alton argue for the millionth time in a plot line that's getting as tired as the box springs under Trishelle's bed. Both of them hook up with other people, just to make each other jealous. Meanwhile, Arissa's headed back down that road to self-discovery – alone. And Brynn makes her customary 36.9 second-per episode appearance.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 21: Let’s Be Frank, by Jen Shrader: This week on The Real World, it's all about Frank. Did you forget we had a Frank? I know! Supposedly there's someone named Brynn on this show too. But meanwhile, Frank has all sorts of issues…
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 20: Family Matters, by Jen Shrader: Family. You can't live with them and you can't shoot them. And as much as Arissa tries, she can't get rid of hers.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 19: And In This Corner…, by Jen Shrader: Real World Las Vegas channels Tough Enough this week as Alton and Irulan's problems fester and boil over in front of their roommates.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 18: “I Love You”… or Not, Part 2, by Jen Shrader: Camels and possums and threesomes, Oh My! The drama heats up in Australia as our conflicted cast members don't let their feelings for each other stand in the way of hooking up with someone else.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 17: “I Love You”… or Not, by Jen Shrader: Trishelle and Steven stop sleeping together (well, not immediately) and Trishelle has formed a serious bond with Frank. Will Frank go for the seconds or are they just friends? And why does our cast's work ethic still suck?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 16: Love the One You’re With, by Sting7: Poor Irulan. She's thousands of miles away from her boyfriend (it's an open relationship) and Alton is just so dang cuddly. What could be wrong with a friendship with Alton that includes cuddling, spooning, kissing, tonguing and grinding? He's not her boyfriend. So why is she so confused?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 15: Pitching a Tent… or a Fit, by Jen Shrader: All of Awesome Anne's advice, trust falls, and Titanic confessionals are thrown out this week as Arissa throws some punches in the bar. And Irulan's open relationship is put to the test as she and Alton "pitch a tent" in the living room.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 14: Is She Or Isn’t She?, by Jen Shrader: The title of this article refers to two different “she”s and two different questions. First we have the continuing saga of whether or not Trishelle is pregnant. We finally get an answer to that. But we also have Brynn with her Vegas beau and her hometown guy. Is she picking one or the other – or both?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 13: S.O.S., by Jen Shrader: Ahoy, reality! This week, Arissa's personality is on a sinking ship and it's up to the rest of the cast to bail her out.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 12: Resolved and Unresolved, by Jen Shrader: It was the unresolved and the resolved this week as our cast of seven tries to balance work and play. Trishelle's possible pregnancy is unresolved. But Alton's homophobia apparently is resolved, since he took part in a skit dressed as a nurse in drag. What new issues can they pull up this time?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 11: Alton’s Issues… Again, by Jen Shrader: Last week we found out about a few of Alton’s issues. Now we find out that he’s homophobic as well (and also the reasons behind it). But it’s not all about Alton as we have more Steven and Trishelle (and more and more…) and a pregnancy scare.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 10: Alton’s Issues, by Jen Shrader: When is an open relationship not an open relationship? When you’re Irulan on Real World Las Vegas, it seems. Her boyfriend comes to visit just after she had visited Alton the night before. And Alton has his own issues to deal with as his mother (right) shows up to discuss the trial of the man accused of murdering his little brother…
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 9: Problems, Problems, and More Problems, by Jen Shrader: This week proves that even living in a place like Sin City can't cover up a person's underlying problems. Alton continues to be a player and finds a more than willing accomplice inside the house. And Trishelle's own deep-seeded issues start to surface, but surprise! She's in denial.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 8: Rub a Dub Dub, by Jen Shrader: The random bedhopping (and tubhopping) continues this week, while Brynn does a little hopping of her own on the dance floor. Best of all, Trishelle is barely seen this week.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 7: The Good, the Bad, and the Ski Dancers, by Jen Shrader: This week we come back to problems with Trishelle. Trishelle and Steven. Trishelle and other guys. Trishelle and not working. Yes, it's all about Trishelle - oh, and some dancing on skis with very little clothing on.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 6: A Forked-Up Situation, by Jen Shrader: Sometimes watching The Real World simply involves rotating from one creep to another. In this case, we’ve moved on from Marc the boss to Steven the jerk. When he and Brynn have a fight over sleeping arrangements and some cutlery is thrown, he decides he wants Brynn out – now. Will he convince the tribe to vote her out? Wait. Wrong show. Still, he wants her gone. Now.
Real World Las Vegas: Who Are These People?, by Kevin Nauta: You can't tell the players without a scorecard! So if you haven't been paying as much attention to Real World Las Vegas as you should have been (or even if you have), take a look at Kevin's handy guide to each of the cast members.
‘Real World’ Boss Fired for Actions on the Show, by Jen Shrader: Every year, the Real World kids have to work at a job picked out for them by the producers. This year, they are putting on parties in Vegas. But nobody counted on their manager trying to have little parties of his own with the female cast members. Now that it's out in the open, their boss is looking for a new job of his own.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 5: Working for a Creep, by Jen Shrader: As usual, the Real World folks have a job. But perhaps not so usual is that this job comes with a boss who perhaps should be on the show himself – either that or Temptation Island -- note Irulan’s work attire, at right. Meanwhile, Frank manages to be a racist without even knowing it.
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 4: Get to Work, by Jen Shrader: It's finally time for the Real World cast to get to work. But will they even make it through their orientation after a hard night partying? And who, Frank has to wonder, will Steven sleep with this episode?
Real World Las Vegas Cast Not a Winning Combination , by Kevin Nauta: Every cast of The Real World is a crap shoot, and some of them are just, well, without the “shoot.” This year’s batch has little in the way of redeeming qualities and much in the way of annoyances. Will it be worth continuing to watch?
Real World Las Vegas, Episode 3: Living in a Porn Movie, by Jen Shrader: This week on The Real World... issues, issues, we all have issues. Trishelle has issues with her Daddy. Brynn has issues with jealousy. Alton has issues with his girl back home. And poor Frank has issues with the trash he moved in with. Plus, three of our new cast start having issues together. Don't these kids have a job yet?
Real World Las Vegas, Episodes 1 & 2: Sin City, Indeed, by Jen Shrader: It's time for the 12th season of The Real World, this time set in Las Vegas, Nevada. How will our seven twenty-somethings deal with sensory overload in the heart of Sin City? So far, not well.
Real World 12: Las Vegas – The Preview Episode, by Jen Shrader: It’s time for a new season of The Real World! This 12th season takes us to Las Vegas, where the cast will host parties in a casino. The preview episode gives us our first look at the participants and shows us what we have to look forward to as the series progresses. And, yes, they have a hot tub, where the action is going to start right away.
