Reality News Update, April 1: Frat Life Legal Woes, Zora Day, and New Shows, by David Bloomberg: Most news in the past few days has related to American Idol and, more specifically, Corey Clark. But there is plenty of other happenings in the world of reality TV. For example, the Fraternity Life guys may have their own legal problems, “Zora Day” almost caused problems as well, and we have some new show announcements.

Reality News Update, March 25: Paula’s Necklace, Hillbilly Protests, Evan & Zora, Big Brother 4, and a Real World Auction, by David Bloomberg: More news from the world of reality TV. Paula Abdul is selling the necklaces she gave to American Idol contestants and MTV is selling stuff from Real World Las Vegas, including the condom jar. Also, Congressmen are protesting The Real Beverly Hillbillies, it's officially over for Evan and Zora, and Big Brother 4 applications are now being accepted!

Fox Trying to Decide Details on ‘Joe Millionaire’ and ‘American Idol’ Sequels, by David Bloomberg: Simon Cowell has spoken out about when the next American Idol should run, and Fox spokespeople have talked both about that show and a return of Joe Millionaire. How will these work to both be good shows and also support Fox’s ratings?

Reality TV Hall of Shame: Heidi from ‘Joe Millionaire’ Makes It Even Worse for Herself , by David Bloomberg: Joe Millionaire’s Heidi was already inducted into the Hall of Shame, but her appearance on the finale made it necessary to follow up on her actions. Not only did she fail to explain away her behavior, but she made it even worse!

Joe Millionaire, Episode 7, Part 2: In With a Bang, Out With a Whimper, by C. Brian Devinney: It’s finally time for Evan to make his choice. Will it be Sarah, with whom he has had fun? Or Zora, who is nice to small woodland creatures? Can Evan see which one is interested in him and which is interested only in the money? How will each react? And what is the big twist at the end?

Joe Millionaire, Episode 7, Part 1: The Women Speak Out, by C. Brian Devinney: Before we find out if Evan picked Zora or Sarah, we have to hear from the women. What have they been doing since the show? What do they think of what happened on the show – not to mention their real opinions of Evan. Plus, we can’t look back without remembering Heidi! And we also learn more about Evan, Sarah, and Zora before it’s time for the big moment.

A Reality TV Addiction, by Michelle Durand: It all started with Survivor, but now has run to Joe Millionaire and The Bachelorette. We're talking about addiction, here, of course. Both have their upsides and downsides, but which would we rather watch in the end?

Joe Millionaire, Episode 6: Used Like a Cheap Whore, by C. Brian Devinney: So, just who was Brian referring to when he titled this article? Is it poor Zora, who has been dragged along even though she is constantly holding back? Is it Sarah, who as a star of fetish films perhaps most fits the description? Or is it the viewer, who had to sit through an hour of material that had already been shown just to get ready for next week's episode?

Joe Millionaire, Episode 5: Breasts and Evil Stepsisters, by C. Brian Devinney: Will Sarah the bondage movie star and Melissa the poster girl for a bad hair day - collectively known as the evil stepsisters - advance rather than sweet but somewhat reserved Zora? Or can Zora pull out all the stops as each woman is taken on an overnight date to some of the nicest resorts in France?

Fox’s ‘The Pulse’ Talks to Joe Millionaire and His Parents, by Peggy Keller: Fox’s news program, The Pulse, promoted Fox’s own hit show, Joe Millionaire, by interviewing Evan Marriott and his parents to find out what he’s really like. What does his mother think of the underwear ads? How do all of them feel about Evan lying to the women? And much more.

Joe Millionaire: I Want More-A Zora, by Phil Kural: Many of the women on Joe Millionaire - both past and still present - have had that certain "gold digger" quality to them. But one has continued to stand out by, well, not standing out. Zora seems to be there for all the right reasons, and she isn't going to put on an act just to win.

Joe Millionaire’s Sarah Revealed as Kinky Film Star, by David Bloomberg: We’ve had a stripper on American Idol, a soft porn star winning Survivor, and Evan from Joe Millionaire in his underwear. So it should come as no surprise to find that one of the women on the show has her own history. The Smoking Gun has revealed that Sarah, one of the final three, has starred in “dozens of kinky bondage and fetish films.”

Joe Millionaire, Episode 4: Mojo Go-Goes Bye-Bye, by Brian James: Evan has individual dates around the chateau with each of the four remaining women. We find out that Melissa can't cook, Zora belongs in a Disney movie, Mojo is a fighter - not a poet, and Sarah can slurp with the best of them. But Evan isn't too clued in on which of them is serious and which is just after the money.

Joe Millionaire, Episode 3: When the Truth Hurts, by C. Brian Devinney: Evan is having trouble keeping his secret and some of the women are having trouble getting to know him. One even notes that she can handle just about anything in a man - except for lying. Uh oh. He has to cut another woman, so will it be the one who can't make conversation, the one who likes at least a little sophistication, or somebody else?

Joe Nineteen-Thousandaire, by Wendy Uyeda: Why is it wrong for women to want to marry somebody who is financially stable? What if your daughter wanted to marry a guy who only made $19,000 a year? And what if he lied to her every step of the way?

The Reality Factor – January 14, 2003: Missing Charity and Spoiling the Viewer Romance?, by C. Brian Devinney: Who gets the Mole’s final pot? And what will the ending be for The Bachelorette’s Trista and Joe Millionaire’s Evan? News from the world of reality TV, plus a dash of possible spoilers and some reliable sources.

Joe Millionaire, Episode 2: Bitchslapped, Shellshocked, and Totally Dissed, by C. Brian Devinney: Joe Millionaire moves into its second episode, and it’s time for group dates. He takes four women at a time onto dates that are probably not what they expected. Then it’s time for a big cut down to five. But what is all this brouhaha going on with Heidi (shown at right)?

Joe Millionaire’s Evan Marriott: Professional Wrestler?, by David Bloomberg: We already knew that Joe Millionaire's Evan Marriott didn't really inherit $50 million. But we were told he was just a humble construction worker. Soon the underwear modeling info leaked out. But now there is a new wrinkle - Marriott trained to be a professional wrestler!

Joe Millionaire: A New Favorite Show, by Susan Schechter: Fox has done it again with Joe Millionaire - Susan has a new favorite show. Of course, no show is perfect and she has a few suggestions, but overall it looks to be great.

Did the ‘Joe Millionaire’ Women Know About the Money Ahead of Time? Who Cares?, by David Bloomberg: After only one episode of Joe Millionaire, there have been complaints that the women didn’t know about the millions ahead of time and thus are being made to look bad under false pretenses (including from contestant Mary, at right, who didn’t make it past the first round). But what did they really expect on a reality dating show? And how did they act once they did find out? Both of these questions have telling answers.

Joe Millionaire: Blame It On Disney – In Defense of Women Who Seek Out Their Prince Charming, by C. Brian Devinney: Sure, we can call the women on Joe Millionaire "gold diggers," but is it really their fault? Or are they culturally pushed towards a search for their Prince Charming?

Joe Millionaire, Episode 1: Enter the Gold Diggers, by C. Brian Devinney: Meet Evan Marriott – known as Evan Wallace to the 20 women who will compete for his attention thinking that he has inherited $50 million. And meet the 20 women. Are they gold diggers or the real deal? Well, before we can really get to know them, eight are gone.

RNO Roundtable: Is ‘Joe Millionaire’ Fair to the Women?, by RealityNewsOnline Staff: The concept of Joe Millionaire is basically to fool 20 women into thinking they are seeking the heart (or at least wallet) of a guy who is supposedly worth millions. The joke's on them when it turns out he's actually rather poor. But is it fair? Is it right to put these women through that? There are many answers to this question, and David Bloomberg, Ken Kellam III, Peggy Keller, Susan Schechter, Dale & Jill Sherman, Andrea Shuman, and Sting7 address these from their various viewpoints.

Joe Millionaire – Let the Lying Begin, by C. Brian Devinney: We’ve seen women go all out to get their man on various reality shows from The Bachelor to Bachelorettes in Alaska to Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire? But what happens when you tell 20 women that they are trying to win the affections of a guy who just inherited fifty million dollars? And what happens when the winner finds out that it was all a lie? This is the premise of Joe Millionaire, beginning this Monday, January 6.
