Nashville Star 5 Finale: Forever's As Far As I'll Go , by Tyler Sandersfeld: This is it, y'all! Two singers named Hacker and a spoiler named St. Romain remain, and one of them will win the big prize. Before that, we get more special performances by host Jewel, judge Randy Owen, and, naturally, a Hacker duet. What more do you want from a season finale?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 7: Close Enough to Perfect, by Tyler Sandersfeld: It's the penultimate episode of the season, and the last chance to vote. The final four must be close enough to perfect if they want to win next week. Did underdog Joshua get enough votes last week to get a shot at the title? What superstar is related to the Hacker siblings? And why do we see DSR surrounded by pink?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 6: Take Me Down, by Tyler Sandersfeld: No one went home last week due to a technical glitch, and perhaps five very fine original songs. Tonight, the five will perform again before one goes home. Will the unlucky one be Whitney Duncan? And why is this teaser so... uninspired?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 5: Can't Keep a Good Man Down, by Tyler Sandersfeld: It's Original Song night on Nashville Star, and like on Lost, so many questions desperately need answers. Who received the fewest votes last week? Who got the most? Are this year's originals any better than last year's? Who shows up for a surprise performance? And what does a satellite television provider have to do with anything?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 4: Reckless, by Tyler Sandersfeld: The rebumpkinizing of Tyler continues as the judges choose the songs for the remaining six, five of whom will actually perform them. However, two of the said five say some pretty stupid and reckless things that could hurt their run to the goal. Is Zac one of them?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 3: Face to Face, by Tyler Sandersfeld: This week, amidst the usual fare of performances, strange judgments, and the occasional surprise, the finalists get to chat one on one with Jewel. Is anything interesting said during these chats? Do we even get to see Meg talk it up? Do we even want to?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 2: Feels So Right, by Tyler Sandersfeld: After Seattle and Minneapolis disappointed on American Idol, we desperately need some Nashville to feel right again. Who delivered the most, whose show run is toast, and is Jewel any better of a host?

Nashville Star 5, Episode 1: I'm in a Hurry and Don't Know Why , by Tyler Sandersfeld: Country music fans everywhere can rejoice now that their simpler, more wholesome answer to American Idol is back for its fifth go-around. Ten new hopefuls, two new judges, and one new host join the fray. Which singers knock your socks off? Which ones need socks in their mouths? And why are the judges in such a hurry to eliminate contestants?

Nashville Star 4 Finale: A Winner Is You , by Tyler Sandersfeld: It's the moment we've all been waiting for. Will Chris Young surprise anyone with his win? Can Casey's perfect performance last week make any impact? Do we still love Nicole anyway? Plus, we have special performances by Cowboy Troy, Jason Aldean, Phil Vassar, and two happy mommies. Let's finish this!

Nashville Star 4, Episode 7: Like a Good Neighbor , by Tyler Sandersfeld: The final three are revealed tonight, but like a good show, all four remaining bumpkins get to perform their last vote song, if they even get the chance for votes. Plus, the final four visit their hometowns and Ashley Judd visits the show like a good sister. Also, one finalist gets a perfect score of fifty! Like a good writer, Tyler is here to recap what happened.

Nashville Star 4, Episode 6: A Trace of Marmalade , by Tyler Sandersfeld: The remaining Nashville hopefuls will need to pull out all stops, plugs, blockers, and any other synonym you can find to keep this show's quality bar above American Idol. Can a special performance by Trace Adkins and judging by Patti LaBelle help? We'll just have to see, won't we?

Nashville Star 4, Episode 5: Original Sin , by Tyler Sandersfeld: This week on Love, Country Style, five of the remaining six twang babies show us their writing chops on Original Songs night. One contestant makes a reservation to Chez Winner, while one doesn't even get a crumb. Oh, and Wynonna sings "No One Else on Earth." If you don't click here, you'll make baby Tyler cry.

Nashville Star 4, Episode 4: Take That, American Idol!, by Tyler Sandersfeld: After a less-than-stellar night of "country" performances on American Idol, hopefully the hopefuls on Nashville Star can cure someone's aching for reality wannabes singing music with a twang (Bai Ling fetishes aside). Will Nashville's newest recapper, Tyler Sandersfeld, find a herd of genuine cowboys and cowgirls, or just a field of cow poop?
