Average Joe

If you don’t see the latest episode listed here yet, check the home page to find it!

Average Joe: Is the Fat Lady Getting Ready to Sing , by Paris Cosby: Three times we’ve seen versions of Average Joe. Three times, we were led to believe that the “star” of the show might pick the “right” person. And three times, the person who the audience thought was the best choice was left behind in the bus. If this keeps up through the next season in the Fall, can the series continue? Or is the fat lady getting ready to sing?

Average Joe: Adam Returns, Finale – I’ll Get You My Pretty, and Your Little Dog Too!, by Paris Cosby: It seems like only a few weeks ago that Adam began his journey to find the right woman. Oh, wait, it was only a few weeks ago! Anyway, in this two-hour finale, he cuts the finalists down from five to two, takes those two home to meet the folks, makes a Western movie, meets a little dog, and figures out who will be getting in the plane and who will be taking the long bus ride home.

Average Joe: Adam Returns, Episode 3 – Somebody Else in the Bushes , by Paris Cosby: Adam has three more dates and then has to make five cuts as we move along quickly. But wait! Who is that familiar face in the bushes sabotaging Adam’s golf date?!

Women to Get an ‘Average Joe’ Shot Through New ‘Plain Jane’ , by David Bloomberg: NBC has done two series of Average Joe, plus the currently airing role-reversal where Adam Mesh is doing the picking. Next Fall, though, they plan to do a full-blown version called Plain Jane. Read on for the available info and some thoughts on what they might do.

Average Joe: Adam Returns, Episode 2 – Hot Tubs, Hot Women, and Hot Tempers , by Paris Cosby: We finally see what’s going on with the “hot women” that three of the previous Average Joe guys were searching for. It’s the twist, of course! But after Adam has hot tubbed with a couple of the first women, he is not happy about the twist. Then again, some of the women in the house aren’t happy about pretty much anything.

Average Joe: Adam Returns, Episode 1 – Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match, by Paris Cosby: Adam was left behind by Melana, but now the tables are turned. He has to sort through 20 women to find the love of his life – but he also has to make the tough eliminations. However, he has some matchmakers to help him along as his old pals from the first Average Joe help pick women via videotape, computer programming, and just who looks the hottest.

“The Connection We Had Was Not Shown”: An Interview with Average Joe 2’s Larissa , by David Bloomberg: Larissa thought she was going on a standard reality TV dating show, but quickly found out that she was on Average Joe. Looking back, what would she have done differently, why did she pick Gil over Brian, and what did we – the viewers – not get to see that would have helped us to understand? This interview just might change your opinion of Larissa.

The Last Joe Standing: An Interview with Brian Worth , by David Bloomberg: Brian Worth, the Bostonian who stole viewers’ hearts on Average Joe 2, was left at the bus by Larissa. In this interview with RealityNewsOnline, Brian tells us what he thinks of the outcome, how the show has changed his life, and, of course, what about that haircut?

A Look Ahead to Adam’s ‘Average Joe’ Return, by Paris Cosby: Adam Mesh, the last Joe standing in the original Average Joe, is coming back next week to try to find the woman of his dreams. He’ll get a little help from his friends, and there will be other twists as well. Find out what we know from Paris.

Average Joe 2’s Finale: A Guide to Dating Success – and Shallowness , by Paris Cosby: Paris finally has her guide for dating success – it’s pretty easy for anybody to do. Well, almost anybody, as those who are shallow will certainly have trouble with it. Speaking of such people, we had Larissa pick Gil at the end, and Paris is none too happy about that.

Average Joe 2 Finale: Where’s My Lobster Mallet?, by C. Brian Devinney: It’s Brian’s final recap for the season, and once again, he’s not holding back. Will Larissa choose Average Joe Brian or Himbo Gil? What is Larissa’s big secret, and how will the man she chooses react to it? Read on for Brian’s no holds barred take on the finale of Average Joe 2.

An Interview with Average Joe 2’s Mike Spitaletto, the “Tattooed, Skinny, Heartbroken Guy, All Stoked on Jesus”, by Paris Cosby: Mike Spitaletto surprised Larissa and viewers by talking about his previous fast living and the way he has changed his life around through his relationship with God. But he stuck around for a while and is definitely one of the more memorable “Average Joes.” Paris Cosby had a chance to ask him some questions about his time on the show and his life in general.

Deep – and Shallow – Thoughts on the Average Joe 2 Finale, by David Bloomberg: Well, it’s all over. Larissa made her choice and then revealed her “big secret.” And the man she chose reacted like… well… about like David would expect him to, actually. Who is deep, who is shallow, and why does the ending seem somehow “right”?

Average Joe 2, Episodes 7 & 8: Fat Suits and Submarines, by Paris Cosby: Brian’s computer has been ravaged by a virus, so Paris steps in and sends us the recap of Episodes 7 & 8 as she simultaneously hides out in the bushes and steals whatever she can get her hands on!

“We Weren’t Seeing Eye to Eye”: An Interview with Average Joe 2’s Tony, by David Bloomberg: Tony seemed to be on his way to gaining Larissa’s heart. They shared their art. They shared a sinking boat. But then Larissa sent him packing before the Final Four. In this interview with RealityNewsOnline, Tony tells us what he thought of the various twists and turns – and the reason Larissa didn’t keep him around.

“I Was Just Being Myself”: An Interview With Average Joe 2’s Michael Cardamone, by David Bloomberg: Michael Cardamone kept getting himself into and out of trouble throughout his time on Average Joe 2. In this interview, RealityNewsOnline talked to him about blowing up the boat, how he stuck around, and much more!

Average Joe 2: Looks Do Matter, But…, by Paris Cosby: Paris wasn’t in her usual crayon-stealing mood this week – in fact, she was not terribly excited. Sure, Michael finally left, but that should have happened weeks ago. However, Paris does admit that looks do matter. Read on for her explanation from the bushes.

“I Had Great Fun”: An Interview with Thomas Grande of ‘Average Joe 2’, by David Bloomberg: Thomas was one of the average Joes who everybody was rooting for, but Larissa sent him home last week after he helped beat the pretty boys in one of the competitions and had a one-on-one hot tub date with her. What does he think of his time there and of the others he was there with? Read on to find out.

“I Don’t Think I Can Meet a Girl This Way”: An Interview with Brian G. from ‘Average Joe 2’, by Paris Cosby: Brian G. might have appeared shy in front of the camera on Average Joe 2, but in this interview with RealityNewsOnline, he shows that he definitely has plenty to say! Covering everything from how he ended up on the show to what he thought of the “hunks” to why he was sent home, Brian gives us some great information and a behind-the-scenes look.

Average Joe 2, Episode 6: All’s Fair in Love, War, and Himbo Stupidity, by C. Brian Devinney: In what is probably the most exciting episode of Average Joe yet, we get to see more of how the himbos act without thinking and then try to blame others. We also see Larissa have second thoughts about the way she has been acting. Plus, we have a sinking boat and one of the average Joes gets a Baywatch babe lying across him on the beach. What more could you ask for?

Average Joe 2: Finally, Some Crayons!, by Paris Cosby: Finally, Paris has cause to steal some crayons from Larissa – not to mention various items from the himbos. She’s hiding in the bushes again and giving us her thoughts on what happened in the sixth episode of Average Joe 2.

“Follow Your Dreams”: An Interview with David Daskal of ‘Average Joe 2’, by David Bloomberg: David Daskal was the most memorable of guys on Average Joe 2. How did he maintain such a great attitude all the way through? What does he plan to do now? David tells us all about his acting career, why he got along better with the pretty boys, why he thinks Larissa sent him home, and a lot about his outlook on life here in this interview.

“We Were America”: An Interview with Sean Pashley of ‘Average Joe 2’, by David Bloomberg: Several times during Average Joe 2, Sean pointed out to his fellows that viewers would side with them, not the pretty boys. And he’s been proven right! In this interview, he provides his thoughts on Larissa’s preferences, discusses the pretty boys, and tells us how he has lost over 70 pounds since the show was taped!

Average Joe 2, Episode 5: 30 Grams of Protein + 1 Mirror = 8 Obnoxious Men, by C. Brian Devinney: There’s a lot of drama going on in the Average Joe house, as one of the guys draws a mean-spirited cartoon about the arrival of the Himbos and another calls Larissa an derogatory word for a woman that is also a type of animal (and it’s not a chick, folks). As the competition heats up, will the Himbos and Joes stick together or turn on each other?

Average Joe 2: Weights, Hair Gel, and Protein Bars, Oh My!, by Paris Cosby: Paris is back to her old tricks, hiding outside the Average Joe house. Larissa has been on her best behavior, so Paris hasn’t had to steal any of her crayons. The new boys, however, haven’t impressed her. What does Paris do to pretty boys who aren’t very nice? Read on to find out.

Average Joe 2, Episode 4: Please… I Beg You… Eliminate Someone!, by C. Brian Devinney: The eight new himbos compete with the eight average joes in school. Who is the smartest? Who is the strongest? Who gets to go to the dance with Larissa? After that, Larissa hangs out with the himbos and gets some advice on who not to trust. But when is she going to eliminate somebody?

Average Joe 2, Episode 3: Enter the Himbos, by C. Brian Devinney: The average Joes have to compete in a triathlon for a date with Larissa. But what they don’t know is that this elimination night is different. Approaching them like a torpedo in the water (where else would a torpedo be?) is a boat full of… himbos!

An Interview with Average Joe 2’s Donato, by David Bloomberg: Donato was sent packing in the second episode of Average Joe 2. On the show he mentioned that he thought she based it too much on his weight, and since then he has mentioned it again. RealityNewsOnline asks him if he thinks weight was the main issue and talks to him about other aspects of the show.

“Average Joe” Runner Up Adam to Star in His Own Dating Show, by David Bloomberg: When Adam Mesh lost out to pretty boy Jason on the first edition of Average Joe, women practically threw themselves at him. NBC knew a good thing when they saw it and now he will become the focal point of a new dating show. Read on for all the details.

Average Joe 2: Dissecting the Joes, by Paris Cosby & Zach Cohen: After the first round of group and one-on-one dates, Paris and Zach (from the first Average Joe) take a look at some of the guys we saw most. They don’t always agree but you know they are going to say what they think.

Average Joe 2, Episode 2: Dropping the “J” Bomb, by C. Brian Devinney: It’s the second episode and time for the first round of group dates – plus one-on-one dates at the end, of course. Larissa finds some of the guys interesting, but several of them push her away through their actions or, in one case, dropping “the J-bomb.” Six more guys head home by the end.

Average Joe 2, Episode 1: B-B-B-But Where’s Kathy?, by C. Brian Devinney: Kathy Griffin may be gone, but there’s a new Miss Missouri and a bunch of new average Joes to watch as we present you with a somewhat belated recap of Episode 1. Meet the guys and find out what Brian has to say about each of them!

Average Joe 2: Abnormal Personalities and Another Beauty Queen, by Paris Cosby, with Zach Cohen: It’s time for the second edition of Average Joe. Paris is back with her box of crayons, but this time she has a sidekick – Zach from the first edition. We meet the new beauty queen and the guys, who have, as Zach describes them, more personalities that are “abnormal.” Let’s see what these two have to say about the first episode.

Focus on the Positive: A Follow-Up Interview with Average Joe’s Runner-Up, Adam Mesh, by David Bloomberg: We last checked in with Adam Mesh before we found out if he or Jason won the heart of Melana on Average Joe. Now, with Average Joe 2 approaching, we talk again to Adam about the finale, what his life is like, what he thinks about the way it ended, and much more!

The Man Behind the Egg: An Interview with Average Joe’s Zach, by Paris Cosby: Zach was the second-to-last “average Joe” remaining on the show, and definitely made an impact from the very beginning. Paris had a chance to talk to him about the egg incident, the fat girl comments, and everything in between in this extremely candid interview. Love him or hate him, you know that Zach tells you what he thinks.

Average Joe: Love the Ending, Hate the Plastic Playa, by Paris Cosby: Paris is a complicated person – she doesn’t like Melana, but she loved the ending of Average Joe. Well, it actually all makes sense if you see where she’s coming from. Read on to find out.

Average Joe, the Finale: And Then the Dog Caught on Fire, by C. Brian Devinney: It’s the final episode of the first Average Joe series! It’s down to pretty-boy Jason and average Joe Adam. But this is no ordinary recap! Brian was with Adam and 500 or so of his closest friends to watch the finale, so you not only find out what went on on-screen, but at the party as well.

A Look Back in Time to Melana Scantlin’s High School Photos, by David Bloomberg: Melana has been romancing guys on our television sets on two different shows now. Most recently, we’ve seen her on Average Joe. Now you can see what she looked like back in her early high school days.

Average Joes Host L.A. Finale Party, by David Bloomberg: Do you live in or near Los Angeles? Have you always wanted to meet the guys from Average Joe? Well, now is your big chance! Tonight, they will be hosting a finale party. Read on to see what they have to say – even if you really aren’t planning on going to the party.

The Last Average Joe Standing Tells (Almost) All: An Interview with Adam Mesh, by David Bloomberg: Adam is the last of the Average Joes standing. Monday he will face off against the final model to see who wins Melana’s heart. But RealityNewsOnline talked to him before the finale about what has gone on up to this point. Find out how he ended up on the show, what some of the other guys are really like, and what he thought about Melana’s choices.

Average Joe, Episode 5: Like Extreme Makeover – In Reverse!, by C. Brian Devinney: Melana goes out with the final four and picks two for one-on-one dates. Then she dons a fat suit and is upset to find out that overweight people just aren’t treated right. Amazing! In the end she has to get rid of two guys – who stays and who gets the big fat boot?

Average Joe: Melana’s Holier-Than-Thou Attitude, by Paris Cosby: Uh oh. Melana’s done it now – she’s pissed off Paris with her holier-than-thou attitude. Read on to find out what Paris really thinks of her and her reaction to Zach’s comments.

Average Joe: Melana the Hypocrite, by David Bloomberg: In this week’s episode, Melana dressed up in a fat suit and talked about how important it was that people should treat her the same way because she was the same person inside. However, it all came out like so much hypocrisy given the way she’s behaved since Day 1 of this show.

Average Joe: Melana and the Models, by Paris Cosby: Now that we’ve seen Melana interact with the models, Paris is not happy. She doesn’t feel Melana is treating them the same as the average Joes…

Average Joe, Episode 4: Another Question of Sexual Identity, by C. Brian Devinney: It’s a special 90 minutes of Average Joe fun as the average Joes and Melana get to know the himbo models that have been added to the mix. Does Melana fall for good looks or stick with the guys she’s been with all this time? Who stays and who goes? Read on to find out!

Average Joe: Hunks or Joes?, by Paris Cosby: With the departure of Brad, Tareq, and Jerry – and the arrival of three guys who are supposed to be hunks, such as Jason, Paris looks at the situation for all of them.

Average Joe, Episode 3: Let’s Twist Again… Yawn, by C. Brian Devinney: Melana starts with six guys and has to get down to three. But then, it’s the Big Twist! Of course, it’s exactly the twist that everybody and their brother thought it would be. But who is left to face it, and how will it turn out for Brian’s favorite, Adam? Read on for details.

Average Joe: Oh My Gosh!, by Paris Cosby: Average Joe has Paris hooked, but not because of Melana searching for true love – because of the not-so-average Joes themselves. Read on to find out what she thinks of them. Hint: Paris may be one of the few people in the world who actually likes Zach.

Average Joe, Episode 2: A Curiously Strong Mint for Your Curiously Strong Breath, by C. Brian Devinney: Melana goes on group dates with the average Joes, but then gets to pick one from each to continue with one-on-one dates. Is Zach still a jerk? Can Dennis conquer the wall? What the hell does, “It's the simplicity of your complexity that's the catalyst of my infatuation” mean?! And which six get cut?

Viewers Say Average Joes Better than a Millionaire Joe, by David Bloomberg: The viewers have spoken and the Nielsens have recorded what they said. The verdict? Average Joe is bringing in the ratings while Joe Millionaire is not. Just how well did Average Joe do? Read on for details!

Average Joe, Episode 1: Bait and Switch, by C. Brian Devinney: Melana Scantlin thinks that she is going on the usual reality dating show with model-type guys to compete for her attention. Well, she’s mostly right. Except the “model-type” part. In the first episode we meet Melana, the Joes, see how they interact, and say goodbye to four of them.

Can an ‘Average Joe’ Win a Cheerleader’s Heart?, by David Bloomberg: Average Joe, the latest twist on the reality dating genre, was supposed to air over the summer. NBC held onto it and it’s now finally going to be shown starting November 3. Read on for details about the show and its stars!
