America's Next Top Model 3, Episode 4: It's Runway Time!

Previously, Amanda told the girls that she is currently legally blind, and will be totally blind by the time she is 30. Each of the girls went through a dramatic makeover, which led to diva personalities on some. When Julie said she was more interested in fashion manufacturing rather than fashion modeling, she was sent home.

It's morning, and all the girls are beginning to wake up. Kelle says she was scared by the judges' reaction to her at the last elimination ceremony and realizes that she has to start being able to take criticism. Kristi states to the camera that she is intimidated by some of the other girls and knows she has a long way to go. Jennipher feels that NYC is definitely a better change from Idaho, says she likes everyone in the house, and realizes she has to get along since they are all living together.

Tyra mail! It tells them that school is in session and to head for the gym. When the girls get there, they find a room with chairs, a stage and a runway. The curtain opens to reveal Ms. J. Alexander sitting in a teacher smock - he's in a woman's teaching uniform. The only thing Toccara can say is that Ms. J. is fabulous. Kristi says that nobody has explained Ms. J. to her, and someone needs to explain to her why nobody has said to Ms. J. that he's a man and wearing high heels.

Ms. J. tells the girls that practice makes perfect, and then introduces them to Yoanna House, the winner of last season. Yoanna comes out on the runway and does her thing. Amanda says it's enthralling to see Yoanna, knowing that she has "made it." I wouldn't say that - I don't see much of her. Yoanna tells the girls that she loves her new life, and everything that she once knew has now turned inside out. She tells them all to stay out of the drama and worry about yourself. She says that when you worry about the other girls you will lose focus, and it's not worth it and that "You'll have plenty of time to sleep when you're dead." Wow, what great advice! Nicole says that Yoanna gave great advice to them and Yoanna says that Ms. J. will mold them into something great.

Ms. J. tells the girls to show some legs and get into their outfits. Norelle says she isn't used to wearing high heels. Ms. J. tells each girl that posture is everything, as he has each girl try to walk with a book on their head. It looks like every girl is dropping her books, but Ann gives it a little extra and pulls off the walk without dropping the book. Eva says she struggles with being small, but doesn't let the other girls know that, which is what hurt Jenascia last season.

Ms. J. loves Eva's attitude, and he says Nicole is afraid to let go. He feels that Cassie can do better, but is holding back while Amanda stands out because of her eyes. Amanda tells the camera that one day she will be completely blind, but won't be affected by that right now. Ms. J. then makes the girls put on sachet, and feels that Jennipher has no likeness or substance in her walk. He tells Toccara that she is plus sized, and knows it, so she must learn to suck the gut in. He feels that Kristi has to learn how to smile, while Kristi tells the camera that she has to stop thinking about the whole thing. Yaya is coming off too much like a dancer and Norelle is concentrating too much on the clothing and not the walk. She says she is scared of falling.

Next, it's time for headdresses. Jennipher says they are awful and tough to wear. Norelle almost falls again. Ms. J. reminds them that they will be tested on what they are learning, and then tells them he will be taking them out tonight to party on the town. As the girls pull up to the club, they see people waiting outside, and this makes Jennipher suspicious. Norelle walks into the back entrance of the club and sees her favorite designer, Heatherette. Everyone greets each other as Norelle professes her love for Paris Hilton, who is one of Heatherette's clients/models.

Ms. J. informs the girls they are going to be in a fashion show tonight, instructing them to head to the back for hair and makeup. Heatherette says the theme of the show is "Circus of Panic," and it should be exciting. The girls are getting ready and are all excited. When she finds out Paris might be there, Norelle is ecstatic, and Amanda is nervous because it will be dark and she might not be able to see the runway. It's very zigzag and Amanda is even more nervous when she finds out she definitely won't have a chance to look at it. She's legally blind during the day so at night, it's even worse. Norelle reiterates that she's just scared of falling. Uh-oh, I can feel the foreshadowing.

Ms. J. tells the girls that this is a challenge, and they will be judged from this point on. The show begins, and Jennipher goes first. She does her thing, and is followed by Eva. Eva tells the camera that it was a high and she loves the runway. Cassie is up and does her thing as well, and Ann and Kelle follow her. Nicole goes next, followed by Toccara - who the crowd adores. Eva says that of course the crowd loved her - and her ta-tas! Yaya takes to the runway next and her hair looks awesome with huge rollers in it. Kristi follows and moves ultra-fast. She almost slips. Amanda heads out and says she was saved because there is glitter on the runway. Norelle is happy to be in the show, and, as she heads to the runway and around the pole, she slips! Down she goes, and when she gets to the back, Heatherette say that it might make her the star of the show, who knows?

At the end of the show, Ms. J. takes Amanda's stick and doesn't realize it's a walking stick for her blindness. She tells him about that she is legally blind. Ms. J. basically tells her she needs to get over it, and Eva does some complaining, trying to say she's NOT complaining that she's small. Ms. J. sends the girls home and says he'll announce the winner tomorrow morning.

On the way home, the girls in the car start gossiping. Eva and Toccara talk about how Amanda acts blind, but has no problem doing her dance moves. In the other car, Amanda says that she knows some of the girls think she is lying about her blindness and feels Eva is the ringleader. Amanda and Jennipher go on to laugh about Eva and her height. Back at the house, Amanda asks some of the girls for her laundry. Nicole tells the camera that Amanda's belongings are disappearing, and Amanda thinks someone is taking her stuff (camera flashes to Eva). Amanda tells the camera that she's missing $100, a shirt, and some other laundry. She starts dancing in her room, calling Eva a bitch and saying she thinks Eva took her stuff. She starts searching Eva's room for the money, and Eva asks here what she's doing. Amanda says she is looking for some stuff, then goes back to her room in order to set a trap with by leaving some money and jewelry lying around. Nicole says that Amanda set the trap and she can't wait to see what happens.

In the morning, Ms. J. arrives at the loft and gathers up all the girls. He says the winner will choose two other girls to join her to on a yacht for a day of pure all-day pampering, and that they will be picked up in an hour. He tells Jennipher that she needs her feet to guide her and Amanda that she is looking too sexy. To Eva, he says that she should have worked her cape more and he thinks that Ann walks like a dude. He tells Toccara that she held her own and was definitely a crowd pleaser, although he thought the puppies were coming out of the cage. He thinks that Kristi looked down too much and had no control, and although he was happy that Norelle loved the show, the fall was major.

Then he tells the girls that he has chosen Eva as the winner because she nailed it. Eva gets up and starts dancing and singing, "This goes in all the tall bitches faces," which definitely wasn't appropriate. She chooses Ann, of course, and, as a shock - Kelle. Kelle accepts the invite as a beauty queen, and is very excited. Amanda tells the camera that she would have been happy for anyone that won except for Eva. Kelle can't believe that she was chosen and Amanda just warns her not to give out any information. What the hell information could she give out?

Eva begins to do some ironing as Amanda is looking for her crystals. Eva has no idea what Amanda is talking about, and, as Amanda goes to walk by, she bumps Eva. Eva wants an apology, but Amanda is upset and won't. She claims it was an accident, and they start arguing. In the other room, Jennipher says she's glad that she has time to clean up now and that they should bake a cake since they are getting the bitch out of the house for a few hours. Eva hears this and thinks everyone is mad since she won. Eva then confronts Jennipher over all this and Jenn tries to defend herself, but Ann is there as well. Eva says she's sorry for being cute, and Kristi has to yell to them to quiet down since she's on the phone. Amanda jumps in and helps Jenn, saying that Eva likes to be fake. Ann then jumps in and helps to confront Jenn. Everyone is now arguing, and, as Ann and Amanda bicker, Jennipher charges through Ann's arms. Ann tells Jenn that if she ever touches her again, she'll knock her out. Jennipher would like to see that happen. Amanda claims that she's not mad at Eva's winning, but she has to stop being fake. Eva says the "old Amanda" would have just said excuse me and moved on. Kelle somehow gets caught in the middle and asks for some sunglasses. Good ole' Kelle.

Back in another room, Amanda shows Yaya the bump she gave Eva. Yaya agrees that it wasn't significant. The girls are still getting ready, and Amanda is still worried about her missing crystals. Toccara goes to Eva and Ann and asks if anyone has seen Amanda's crystals. Ann doesn't know anything about them, but says to tell Jenn that she needs to never touch her again. Eva tells the camera that Ann has big biceps and will beat Jenn's ass. We now see Eva confronting Jenn and calling her a bitch. She says that Jenn doesn't have any guts and that she doesn't like her. All this goes on as Kelle is still looking for some sunglasses because she's worried about the yacht.

Yoanna shows up and takes the girls away. Eva says they need a luxury day like this, and we see the girls arrive on the yacht, eating and receiving massages. Ann is just happy to meet and talk to Yoanna, and Eva says that Ann is star struck since she's from Erie, Pennsylvania. At the house, Amanda says she feels a little better, and that she found her crystals. It turns out that she hid them the night before. The other girls laugh, but she feels bad for accusing Eva.

When the girls get back from the yacht, Amanda tries to explain what happened and apologize. As only she can, Eva jumps on Amanda right away and attacks. They basically make up, and Eva says the one thing she isn't is a thief. Tyra mail then asks the girls if they can stand out in a crowd. All the girls look confused as they prepare for their shoot in the morning.

As morning arrives, Jay welcomes the girls to their shoot. They will be in a group shot for Lee jeans, and will be wearing Lee jeans and nothing else. Kristi is scared right away. She says her family won't be happy about her modeling topless. Jay also tells the girls that the ad will become a double page spread in People magazine. The photographer tells them that they all have to be on at the same time and he will shoot in two groups, then bring both together.

Eva notes that this is the competition. The girls go through hair and makeup once again, and they all get hair extensions. Kristi tells one of the makeup guys that she would hate having to travel all over and not be able to see all her friends. She's very nervous. Jay says that none of the girls care about getting topless, and the first group begins to shoot. Norelle says she loves her breasts. Kristi tries to act comfortable but really isn't. The first group begins shooting, and Jay coaches them. He feels that Kristi isn't able to cheat her jaw and that Kelle needs to stop trying so hard. Nicole needs to watch her pinky, but, for the most part, they do a good job.

The other girls get ready and practice. Eva's head is sticking out, while Toccara is doing great. Jennipher is having issues and Jay isn't happy. He loves Yaya and feels Norelle is looking very sexy. After the shoot is over, Jay tells the girls to get dressed, but Norelle wants to remain topless. Jay says that Norelle has great boobs, but that has nothing to do with becoming America's next top model.

At the loft, Tyra mail tells the girls that the judges see them tomorrow, and someone is going home. Kristi says that Yoanna told the girls not to worry about the drama and admits that she hasn't goofed off, but still isn't in control. Eva thinks that if she were eliminated, it would be a shock. Norelle knows that falling during the show could be held against her.

It's now the night of the ceremony, and Jennipher think she will do well. Amanda wonders which of them is actually good enough to be America's next top model. Tyra welcomes them to the elimination ceremony. She says that they learned to walk in the past few days and did their first show. She reminds them of the prizes, and, as always, introduces them to the judges, including special judge, Heatherette. Mr. J will administer the test, which will require each girl to wear shoes that are two sizes too small and an ugly pink dress. They all head out of the room and get changed. Once they are suited up, it's time to begin. Tyra reveals the Lee jeans ad, and Janice feels it's very retro and acid-like, which she remembers well. Now it's time for individual evaluations.

Cassie does the walk first, and it's apparent she's worrying. Nole' tells her she needs to stick out the pain. They look at her photo, and Nigel likes it. Nicole is next and Heatherette says she looks like she belongs on a box for hair color. Janice likes her photo a lot. Kelle comes in and almost trips. Tyra says they could tell she was in pain, and they all agree that they don't like her photo. Kelle agrees. Janice says her face looks like she's having a breast exam, then tells her to snap out of it and take their criticism instead of whining. In comes Ann, and Janice says she looks like an East German swimmer. They love her photo though, especially Tyra.

Amanda comes walking in, and is told not to look down. Once again, she reveals the secret that she's legally blind. Is it even a secret anymore? Nigel tells her that in her own way, she has to overcome that. Everyone likes her photo, and Nole' says she always looks great. Kristi comes in and Janice doesn't like the walk, calling her bored. Tyra says that Kristi must not worry about the pain. They all look at her photo and think she looks uncomfortable. Norelle is next and her walk is horrible. Nole' wants to worry and Janice makes her hop. They look at her photo, though, and love it. Toccara comes bounding in next and admits that her feet are killing her. Nigel loves the fact that she is comfortable and loves her body. They adore her photo also, but think she should have worked the butt a little more. Eva comes in and they tell her to be less dainty. They like her photo, but think she looks a little scared.

Yaya goes next and does a little pose. Tyra says she looks like the movie "Coming to America." They love her shot as well, calling it one of the best. Jennipher is last and comes in, walks up to the judges, then lifts up the back of her mini to reveal "ANTM" on her butt cheeks. Janice is appalled and Jennipher just says she wanted to be noticed. Janice isn't happy at all, while Nole' admits he's offended. The judges don't think that much about her photo either, and decide it's time to deliberate.

The judges feel Yaya might not work for runway. They love Ann's picture this time, and see potential. Heatherette loves Toccara and says the crowd loved her, and they love her photos. Norelle is iffy, and they aren't sure about the falling thing. Kelle had a bad picture, and they are losing her. Kristi is looking way too scared, while they love Nicole and her hair. Eva is short, but Nole' calls her "golden delicious." Cassie is pretty, but looks tired. Amanda is another story. Nigel says she can't be blind for catwalks, but the judges love her eyes. Jennipher was a disappointment, and they aren't sure she understands the business.

The girls come in and Tyra says she has ten photos in her hand. The girl not called will be eliminated. The first name called is Cassie. Ann, Nicole, Toccara, Eva, Amanda, Norelle, Yaya and then Kelle follow her. Jennipher and Kristi step up. Jennipher is told that sometimes you want something, but can't convey it and it doesn't count since others can't feel it. Tyra knows Jennipher was trying to cute with the writing on her butt, but it flopped. Kristi is told that there is insecurity in her photos that the judges aren't sure can be fixed. They are concerned about her mouth, but Tyra feels that every model has something that makes them unique.

The girl that is called - is Jennipher. Kristi gives the girls some hugs and heads out. She knows that she can do better and hates failing. She has to get away from the modeling thing and think about why she likes it. She admits that she wants to rethink the whole thing, and knows it's an intimate process and can do better at home.

Next week, Toccara opens up for the first time in a heart to heart with Tyra. Kelle is seriously affected by the competition, while Janice Dickinson does her thing with exercises, and shows the girls how to not look like a porn star. This should bring some laughs. As for me, this is how I'm ranking the girls in my eyes right now. I'll be back next week!
