The dysfunctional Big Brother 2 house has gotten significantly worse. Live Web cam watchers have reported that Justin has managed to break enough rules to get himself booted. Meanwhile, other members are trying to use sex as a weapon for votes. This House is falling apart in a big hurry.
Well, CBS wanted Big Brother 2 to be a little more interesting than the first one. As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.
Boredom is definitely not the problem now – quite the opposite. Live cam watchers have been reporting throughout the night about a number of bizarre occurrences in the BB2 house.
Most importantly, Justin is gone. While we saw him on Tuesday’s episode acting like a jerk with Kent, we apparently haven’t seen the half of it. Live cam watchers have reported him throwing a chair, threatening to throw a bottle, pissing on a window, and finally holding a knife to Krista’s throat (see above photo). He had been warned by Big Brother prior to the bit with the knife (which he claimed was a joke), and that was apparently the last straw. He’s gone. I shed no tears.
But that’s not the only thing that happened last night. Mike and Autumn were apparently snuggling when Mike decided he wanted something more. Autumn didn’t. Since then the two have been fighting – and involving other Houseguests – about who did or said what to whom. Some have said he “just” wanted oral sex from her. Oh, well, then that’s okay, I guess.
What makes it worse is that Mike was apparently acting as part of his little team (including Will, Shannon, and Justin) to try to seduce Autumn in order to get her to vote against Nicole. What a crew.
Things are breaking down all over. People are choosing sides and a number of them have suggested just walking out voluntarily because of the living conditions. Now that Justin is gone, perhaps some of that will calm down. But there is still the Mike/Autumn situation. And, of course, Will will find some way to use this all to his advantage.
The live cam folks indicated that the votes still occurred (the votes themselves are taped; the results are apparently shown live tomorrow), meaning the producers haven’t necessarily decided that Justin’s removal will be in place of either Nicole or Sheryl (in fact, so far CBS has indicated that it will go on as scheduled). They may replace him with somebody else (wouldn’t you love to be that person, going into this hellhole?).
So, the producers wanted sex? They got it – although in its basest form. They wanted things happening? They got it – in the form of Justin’s insane behavior. They wanted people to pay for a subscription to the live Web camera? This may well give a boost to that as well.
The question is how much of this will actually be aired. Will the vast majority of viewers – those who aren’t following this on the Web – find out about the true extent of Justin’s actions? Will they find out about Mike’s attempt to seduce Autumn? Will they be exposed to the frankly disgusting events that have happened over the past day or two? Or will they be given a sanitized version so they don’t realize just how much like a bad Jerry Springer show this has become?
We already knew that Will was an arrogant ass. Now we know that Shannon truly shares his uncaring nature, as does Mike. We already knew that Justin was a jerk; now we know the full extent of it. Kent, who had been one of the first to rub people the wrong way, may turn out to be one of the most likeable people on the show.
It may be time to clean House altogether.
