Big Brother 4, July 17 Live Feeds: Jee’s Nominations and Other Strategiesby Sting7, with David Bloomberg -- 07/18/2003
It’s Thursday, July 17, and time for the BB4 HouseGuests to wake up. After yesterday’s HOH competition, Jee is in charge – well, in theory, anyway. And Jun must really be kissing up because she’s graduated to at least sharing the bathroom mirror with him. Dana is complaining that something is biting her arms and she has scratched the bites raw! Dave is officially rebelling against the cameras, mugging at every turn. The food competition is today and the cameras give us a sneak peek! There are tables labeled: alligator, liver, oyster, ground beef, goat, pork, shrimp, turkey, tongue (!), turtle, moose, squirrel. (Moose and squirrel? I expect Boris and Natasha to show up.) Then another table with green board lima beans, kale, cabbage, bell pepper, beets, bokchoy, leek, spinach. And there are also mysterious labeled casseroles 1 and 2. They are separated into teams: Red – Alison, Erika, Jack, Justin, Jun Essentially, they have to eat a casserole and name the ingredients, a meat and veggie. They name the ingredients by putting the food on a colored board. If they are wrong, they have to keep eating until they get it right! Red wins! On a more strategic note, Jee tells Michelle she is going up against Erika, purely as a pawn, you see. Michelle doesn't take it well. She wants to know why she wasn't involved in the decision. Jee just assures her that she is not going. They have considered every angle, she is really safe. But she is really not buying it and ultimately tells him to do what he's got to do. Hmmm, maybe she’s seen the show before and knows that, despite what happened with Amanda this week, it seems that more often than not the person who is put up and assured of being “safe” is the one who gets the boot. Then again, that might be giving her too much credit. Meanwhile, Justin goes to Jack and tells him that if he wins Power of Veto (POV) and saves Erika, Dave will be nominated instead and will be out. Jack doesn't even blink. (But remember this point.) Then, smack the forehead, Jee wonders to Robert, what happens if Michelle wins the POV and saves herself? It gets worse. Michelle is sobbing by the pool (it’s so dramatic), Dave asks her what's wrong. She eventually admits that she is being nominated. Dave goes to talk to Jee. Dave says he made a deal to keep Jee around a few weeks, now it's his -- Jee just walks away! Dave stares after him surprised and walks after him! They go to the HOH room where Robert is, and Dana is too! She seems to have found out that she goes up if Erika wins POV. She's not happy either. Jee is furious, he has three people in his ear all at once. Dana eventually leaves in a huff. So, the thing is, Jee told Jack that Dave would go up to keep him from saving Erika, basically saying you're down to two in your mini-alliance no matter what. In reality, they want to get rid of Dana. Got that? In any case, Dave says he has no plans to use POV to save Erika, but he has not guaranteed anyone anything. Yet. He wants to hear what they have to say. Jee says if Dave and Jack join them, they could turn the whole game around. Dave wisely says he wants to think about it. Jee gives him until the nominations. Dave also must find out if Jack told Dana the plan. Dave says Jack is too smart for that. Then again, Dave says he thought Dana was with them all along. Dave says he has thinking to do. When Dave leaves, Robert declares Jack and Dave f*cking a$$holes and if he turns out that either of them narc'd to Dana, they are going up! Jee is looking more and more like a figurehead! Jack, Dave, and Nate (uh-oh) are talking. Dave says they have to convince Jee to join THEM, get Erika or Michelle to win POV, and put Dana up. Then, THAT alliance can get rid of strong players Justin and Robert. Meanwhile, Caeser, er, Jee is lamenting that now his alliance with Justin and Robert is known to the world. They should have kept it quiet. They have only bought themselves a week. Maybe. Robert convinces Jee that the power is on their side for good. He also suspects Jun is the narc to Dana! (Probably! They have a secret pact! But then who doesn’t at this point?) Michelle is wailing like a stood-up prom date throughout all of this! Jeez. She meanders into the HOH room and Justin again assures her she is safe. Worst case, Erika win POV and Dana goes up. Period. Oh, and they say Jack has promised to vote against Erika. (He did?) Michelle seems to believe it this time. The nominations go down – not on feed – but based on conversations after the feeds returned, it is Erika and Michelle on the chopping block! There are so many twists and turns in this group, it’s hard to keep track of who is aligned with each other! The “Elite 8” is certainly dead – not that there was ever a real hope of it surviving. Right now, the alliances are a deeply woven web in the Big Brother house! So here's a rundown. The Elite 8 became 7 when Scott left, but things were crumbling long before. Jack, Erika, and Dave are holding true to the deal they made with Jun, Alison, Dana, and Nathan. Meanwhile, Jun, Alison, Dana, and Nathan have made a pact to eventually eliminate Jack and Erika. Alison, Dana, and Nathan have made a temporary deal with The Exes – for as long as it suits them. Dana is vocally pledging allegiance to both sides, as well as having a secret pact to share information with Jun, but her actions have given her away and only Jun stills trusts her completely. Alison has made a pact with Justin and Nathan, individually. Michelle is a non-participating member of the Exes, but seems to want in with the Elite 8 (7). Got that? Of course, it all might change tomorrow… Want to keep up with important events in the house? Check out our Big Brother 4 Spoiler Page for news on who wins contests and other ongoing info.
