Big Brother 4, July 24 Live Feed Highlights: Dana's Reign – Where's the Booze?by Sting7, with David Bloomberg -- 07/25/2003
Dana has been coronated the reigning Queen of the House, for this week anyway, and she wants names! Who was in on the plot to get her out? (How much time ya got?) Dave does some fast-talking but says he never lied to her, and he won't lie to her. You'll just have to read between the lines. Dana quickly assesses her line-reading abilities and changes the subject. She says, "there is a new bitch in town," they are playing a new game, and you can play or you can get nominated. Jun gives her an "oh please." Intimidation failed, so Dana just prattles on that she is happy she is on the jury and gets to get sequestered in Mexico if worst comes to worst. Alison complains that she wants to challenge her incorrect answer in the HOH game. Outside, Jack/Nate/Erika/Alison/Dave discuss if any of them have any deals on the table with Huey, Dewey, and Louie (as Dave has renamed Jee/Robert/Justin!). Dave speculates that if Dana does align with HDL and pulls in Jun, it would be 5/5 (smart considering Jun says she and Jee do have an agreement!). Dana could nominate two of the Elite 7 and it's 4/5 no matter what! Has Dave discovered the secret Jun/Jee alliance? Or is he just guessing? Here comes Dana! On cue, as usual! She wants Vodka, "the children have gone home! Time for the real booze!" Dave/Justin/Jee/Robert are in the blue room. Jee tells Dave that he respects what they did. Justin says that he understands. In comes Jun, out goes Jee. Nice synchronization. The Russian judge will score high on that! Jun says that Nathan "pulled a Dave" with Michelle last night. (Whoa, really?) Nate admitted that he made out with Michelle. No tongue. Fifteen seconds tops. (Who times their kisses??) Dana objects, saying Michelle claimed he opened his mouth. Nate yells that it was a peck (a 15-second peck?). Justin laughs that it's his last week! He wants an actual bed for his "last week." Alison teases Nate that he is skinny now (he did look thinner Wednesday night!). Dana tries to heist a memento from the HOH game... Big Brother said put it back! Curses! Foiled again! Jun announces that Queen Dana has decreed that anyone who wants to talk to her must do so at the table, no one is allowed in the HOH room. Ever. Unless invited. Or has booze. Nate can't believe his ears! How many times did she come into the room when he was HOH? (47,629) Jun talks to Erika and Alison and says Dana is convinced that HDL were not out to get her. Alison says that if Dana is smart and sticks with the original plan, then she has two more weeks. (Maybe more if she puts up two of HDL and shows her allegiance to the 7). On another note, Jun says she can't believe Michelle wanted to borrow her skirt for the Live show. She had no clue, did she? Jee says that Michelle was too young for the show. He thinks HE may be too young. Subconsciously proving his point, he starts moaning that he will probably be next on the block. He really wants to get drunk. Dana's HOH room (chambers) is finally set up. Froggie slippers, Cape Cod potato chips, a tee with Bayside on it with a note, her robe, notes from friends, a picture of her bed and her fish, Rocky (!), and the beer she wanted. Jee rants that his girlfriend didn't get him this, that, and the other thing he wanted. Cripes. Dana presses Jack/Dave in the HOH room about the plot to get her out. Jack basically tells her exactly what happened and why – she was playing both sides of the fence and no one trusted her. (Jack and Dave's plan is to set Dana's focus on Justin). Dana takes that rather well (so it seems). She says she is done with alliances (suuure). There aren’t any solid ones anyway and she doesn't trust anybody. Dave tells her that Robert was pretty vocal that he didn't want Dana to win HOH. Dana asks if he would say that to her face, right now. Dave says he probably would. Jack says she’s better off with the 7, if she stays with HDL, she would be the first of them to go, best case scenario for her would be fourth (that stung!). Jack says Robert was really pushing for her to go. Dana says she has to know if he said that. And off she goes to find out! (Subtlety? Hello?) Dana corners Robert, with Jack/Dave in tow. "Who me, nooooo, I would never say that!" Jack helps her cross-examine Robert, who lies really well. He won't fess up, even under Jack’s ex-FBI questioning. Jack and Dana head back to HOH room. Jack says he wasn't a part of the conversations where Robert was ranting about Dana, but he's heard it from too many people for it to be a lie, and he has heard Robert say she is a threat. Now, who is the strongest in the competitions? Robert or Justin? You think about that. (He's asking the wrong person to think.) He leaves her in the HOH room to do just that. She stays about 14 seconds before heading off to find Jun. She says she is considering putting up Robert and Dave. She tells Jun why she is considering Robert, but Jun says that she would be surprised if Robert wanted Dana out. But Dana needs to stop stirring things up; in the end, everyone will resent her she'll be sequestered in Mexico before she knows what hit her. Dana says she really wants peace. So she goes to confront Jee. Did he want her out? "Me, oh nooooo." In comes Robert. Dana admits she is thinking of putting him up. Robert says fine, but she can guarantee she'll be gone next! (Ouch) In comes Justin. Justin, did you want me out? "I… don't... recall." (What is this, the Ronald Reagan strategy?) Robert says he doesn't care what happens (which means he does). Erika comes in and Dana declares she needs rest. Everybody out, says the Queen! Only Erika leaves though, and HDL are in her head like bees. "They are messing with you." "Don't listen to them." "They only want to use you." It's hard to be queen. But does it work? HDL don't seem to think they convinced Dana they are on her side (and they really aren't). Jee heads to bed, depressed. Robert cries a lot and apologizes to Erika. Sort of. Robert spends a looong time in the Diary Room. The heat! It’s decision time for Dana, and she asks Jun about Robert. Jun says he's been crying, he's really upset. Dana cares not. Justin says he has a plan, to Dana, I'll tell you in the HOH room! In the HOH room Justin and Dana start to talk, but there is Nathan! Nate says if she wants to put him up, he's okay with that. Dana says she is only putting up people she doesn't trust, and she feels like she can trust Nathan (and every male she finds attractive). Justin tells Dana that Alison feels he is playing the game all wrong. He just can't bring himself to do it her way (oh Lord), I mean, Dana could be talking and laughing with Alison, and as soon as Dana steps away, Alison cuts her down, and he's just not that kind of person. Dana's eyes as large as a South Park character. Then came the nominations... After all the back and forth, Dana decides to nominate Jack and Alison. Jack says fine, it’s just a game. Alison is not taking it nearly so well. So it looks like HDL were better at convincing Dana that they are on her side, and they did it by lying while Jack and Dave tried to convince her by telling her the truth. What’s more interesting is that even Dana knows that if you want somebody from the opposing alliance to leave, you put up two members of that alliance rather than one in the alliance and one outside of it. It will definitely be interesting to see how the Elite 8/7/6 come out of this one. Want to keep up with important events in the house?
