Big Brother 4, August 4-5 Live Feed Highlights: Dana, Dana, Danaby Paris Cosby -- 08/05/2003
It’s Monday morning in the Big Brother house, and the politicking continues. Dana asks Erika to tell her if Justin, Robert, and Jee are going to vote her out. She wants it to be a unanimous vote now so Alison can't break the tie. She goes on to say how it's Nathan's fault that the game has changed. He put the ball in motion by taking Alison off the block. (And, apparently, she didn’t put the ball in motion by switching sides and turning against Alison to begin with.) She is also saying how the veto is the biggest part of the game this year. I agree that it has totally changed the game, I like it better this way! All Erika is saying is that this week will be a very strategic vote. Dana is still whining about her decision not to put Nathan up and how that's her only regret in the game. Shut up, Dana!!! In the end she asks Erika to give her a heads up if she's going to be voted out. Apparently, she likes Erika now (she repeatedly said she hated her previously). Dana also adds that she'll act surprised. How can she even pretend to be surprised? Whatever... The whole conversation gets to Erika and she, in turn, runs to Jack. He wonders if maybe they should tell Dana that it won't be a tie but then decides against it. I think things will be a lot calmer in the house once Dana is gone. There is quite a bit of talk about who will nominate who after the next HOH competition. Jack figures if Justin, Jee, or Robert win, then he will be nominated with Nathan. Erika is worried that they'll go after her but Jack says that no, it will be him and Nate. If they win, they want Justin gone. They need to figure out a way to get Jun back over to their side. They don't think that Jun will try and win HOH because she can play both sides right now. The HouseGuests have a new "pet" of sorts. There is a spider in the backyard that they throw bugs to. They've named it "Buddy." Alison puts a plastic wrapper on the web and Robert says he's going to be really mad if she hurts the spider. Justin says what she did is the equivalent of throwing beer plastic wrappers in the ocean. I guess boredom really has gotten the better of them in there. Spiders are interesting but they are feeding this one! Justin has soaked a potato chip with pop to attract bugs to feed it. Basically everyone is just hanging around and having random conversations until they find out they have a new game to play! They will be playing the UK Big Brother contestants. They imagine, if they win, they will get a luxury. A few of them are playing and it looks like a board game of some type where they need to stack pegs and block each other – it's apparently called Quoridor. I've never heard of it but it seems to take quite a bit of concentration. Getting back to Dana (because, let’s face it, the house revolves around her), she is flipping out and is really mad about something or other. Erika, Alison, and Jun are sitting outside wondering why Dana is such a psycho and saying that they should sleep with one eye open (remember that Jack talked a week or more ago about sleeping on his back so she couldn’t come in and stab him in his sleep!). There is a lot of laughing about Dana and her "evil eye." Jun seems irritated and upset with Dana for campaigning against her. At least that's what everyone has been telling her. When she's asked whether she wants to talk to Dana about it, she declines, saying it's too much drama for her. I would think someone like Jun would enjoy the drama, so it says something when Dana gets to be too much even for her. Jun and Alison are now discussing how they miss their boyfriends more than their families. Hmmm, I really don't buy that one when it comes to Alison. Jun also says that Dana woke her up last night because she was spooning her so hard. Ali talks about how her and her friends would go out and if they didn't hook up, they would all go back and spoon in Ali's single bed. Jack seems to have an innate knowledge of everything that goes on in the house. I guess with his FBI background, it's not surprising. He is always talking strategy with Erika and figures that next week Nathan will go and then Alison may switch over to the alliance of Jee, Robert, and Justin – which is exactly the deal that she made with them a couple days earlier! Jack is really quite good at this game and I'd like to see him win it. Tuesday is voting day in the Big Brother house and the HouseGuests are wondering why they are still voting so early when there won't be any family coming to see them due to being sequestered. (Could be so the editing team has time to work on the right scenes for the Tuesday and Wednesday night shows.) Jee figures that they want to know early so they can at least get a video message from their family. Jack says there is a certain lightness in the air today. Alison says it's because they are getting rid of the Devil. Good Lord, I don't think we need to go that route again on this show. Dana says she really hopes Jun is the one to stay because she can't handle being in the house anymore. She's not good at the game. No kidding, Dana! I think there's very little doubt that we'll be seeing her exit interview on Wednesday's live show. Dana is saying how everyone is avoiding her today. Even Jun seems to be trying to stay away from Dana. Other than playing Quoridor, strategizing a little bit more and voting, there isn't much else going on in the Big Brother house today.
