Big Brother 4, August 17 Live Feed Highlights: Calm Before the Storm?

by Sting7 -- 08/18/2003
New plots are being hatched and plans being made for all sorts of contingencies. Is the Power of Veto used? Who thinks they would be too big of a target? And who had previously tried out for The Amazing Race?

SUNDAY

All of the HouseGuests manage to wake up without being threatened by Big Brother. Except Erika. Jun's making pancakes today. Robert mentions that his sleepy-headed ex tried out for The Amazing Race a number of times, and seems to have gotten pretty deep in the casting process each time. Alison says she had no idea you could try out for television shows. (Makes you wonder how she got there, huh?)

Robert and Jee, when alone, go over Robert's speech for the upcoming Veto Meeting. Robert doesn't want to say anything. Jee tells him he should say something noble, like, "I won't ask you to use it because it would jeopardize my friends" (of course, if Robert or Justin gets pulled, Jee will go up!).

Robert and Jee then discuss who goes next, Erika or Jack. Jee wants Erika out (still bitter over that deal), Robert thinks Jack should go, they have all but promised Jun and Alison that he will be next. Robert smartly says they need Erika to counter-balance the floaters, and she has pledged allegiance if they should evict Jack. Jee decides after Jack’s Veto competition performance, they have all overestimated him!

Robert goes in the house, out comes Jun. Should I use the Veto? Jee doesn't know. Jun says that if she pulls Justin, Jee would probably go up. Jee says he thought of that. Jun says it would infuriate Jack and Erika and might make herself a target. Jee agrees to this too. Jee says Robert feels pretty confident that he is not the one leaving. He's just worried about sounding cocky about it at the veto meeting.

Out comes Ali, and Jee and Jun immediately stage an argument! It works, Ali says she's outta there. Back to the game! Jee says he can't stand her. Jun wonders if Ali may be the perfect person to sit next to at the finals (for Jun it would be, Ali may be the only person she can beat!). Robert comes over, but wanders away. Ali comes back asking if the coast is clear? They say she wasn't interrupting anything. (Heh!)

A little later, we see the Front of the House (FOTH), which must mean the Veto meeting must have happened. Based on the comments of the HouseGuests, Jun did not use the Veto… and no one seemed to have expected her to.

It's hot and the HouseGuests are very lethargic. The house goes on lockdown, Jun thinks it must be a luxury competition. Jack tells Robert he doesn't think sequestered HouseGuests should talk about what happened after they were evicted because it may sway the jury. Robert agrees (he does that, then talks smack about ya later!).

Erika gives Justin the name of her agent. Of course, she gave it to Nate and Dave too. Ali is in a foul mood today and goes to bed a lot.

When the two sides are fighting with each other, things just aren't very dramatic – or is it the clam before the storm?
