Big Brother 4, August 21 Live Feed Highlights: The Twist and Nominations!

by Sting7, with David Bloomberg -- 08/22/2003
So, what is the twist? Well, you have to Expect the Unexpected! And you’ll have to read on to find out. Also, Jee makes his nominations. Do we need to Expect the Unexpected there as well? Obviously, this article contains spoiler information!

THURSDAY

It's an overcast day inside and outside the Big Brother house. Alison is morose over Justin's exit. She tells Erika she is not even sure why she is so upset. Justin isn't the only one to exit. The guests are invited to say goodbye to the turtles, Cuff and Link. Alison and Jun snicker they didn't like the turtles anyway. Jun is sure they had a secret alliance.

Speaking of alliances, Jun tells Erika that Alison is definitely with the Two Stooges. Erika is rather appalled, "I just don't understand how she can keep doing this!" Meanwhile, Expect The Unexpected has become the household greeting. "Good morning. Expect the Unexpected!" Alison says her stomach jumps every time she hears that. She thinks something is coming very quickly since there is no food competition set up.

It must have been cold last night. Erika and Jun are talking about snagging comforters. Jun says she got Justin's and it smelled like him. Like butt? Erika asks. No, just sweat, Jun says. (That's better!)

Robert is back to stroking himself again. He says the women in the house are all jealous of all the attention he, I mean we, are getting. Robert says if he wins HOH next week, it's Jack and Jun up for eviction. If either of them save themselves, then Alison (his supposed ally? Not Erika? Hmmm.). Jee says they have enough votes, The Two Stooges featuring Alison, to evict anyone they want at this point (since Jack is definitely, and Erika is maybe, going up for eviction this week). Then the conversation shifts to nominating Ali. Apparently Justin gave his stamp of approval to the idea before he left.

They speculate on the twist. Jee wonders if the Veto holder will get nominating power. They both love that idea (they call it the Platinum Veto!). Robert wonders if the nominated HouseGuests will have to compete against each other to stay in the house. (Both interesting ideas!) They also agree that Jack must be throwing competitions, he just couldn't have been that bad at the Veto competition, and his bocci was pathetic (heh!).

The World According To Ali, Part 2: Ali tells Erika that she doesn't dislike Jack, she just needs the money. She is sure Jun is on "their" side, but she doesn't trust her. (That makes sense! Not.) She is also sure that Erika and Ali are America's Sweethearts.

A very long FOTH. The twist has been revealed and no one is happy!

Jack is holding a crying Erika. Erika rages that it wasn't even money, it was just f**king PB&J! What a dumb f**k?

Erika, Jun, Jack, and Alison are talking. Jun says why would anyone accept that? Jack says it could have been three weeks, at least it's just one. It's about Jee accepting some sort of deal. Then Jack says, "Right, stick it right up their ass! What was he thinking? Jee shows up and admits he took the deal. And, he'll eat PB&J.

Jun and Jack alone. Jun says it was crazy. Jack says Jee hass pissed Robert off too. (Ooh!) Jack says Erika told him she said hell no, she wouldn't let anyone starve. Jun says she couldn't make anyone suffer, and adds, so much for the country's love affair with Jee. Now their families will hate him! (What is it?)

Jun, Robert, and Jee. Jun is hot. She says Jee just made himself a target. Erika, Jack, and Alison come out. They corner Jee, Jee says he thought someone else would choose a week too. Robert asks him if he gets to eat, Jee says yes, but he's not going to. Erika asks him why he did it, with all the power he has, why was it necessary? (She is REALLY upset about the PB&J!) Jee says he's sorry if it seemed selfish, it was a game decision. Jun said it's over and done with now. Jack says it can't be changed.

So what is this all about? Apparently, Jee took a deal where everybody has to eat PB&J for a week, but he won the Power of Veto before the nominations were even made! So he knows for certain that nobody can Veto his nominations, but he has screwed everybody in the house by doing this. It seems that Jee remembers a time when he made nominations and expected one person to go, but another went instead. Now he’s sure his nominations won’t be messed with.

Alison and Erika declare themselves on strike. Jack tells Jee he is worried about Erika. Jee says he will explain himself to Erika, then asks Jack to. Jee says that he thought "everyone needed this Veto, him, Jack, Erika, everyone."

In the HOH room, Jee scolds Jun for "calling him out" in front of everyone. Why is she speaking for everyone? You're just making yourself look wrong! (Jee Logic) Now he probably is a target. Jun, Queen of Deflection, says people were talking behind his back. He had to know what was going on. SHE is being unbiased. (Ha!)

Jun says she totally understands why he did it. She knew Erika wouldn't because she's done before, and Jack doesn't want to offend anyone. Jee says everyone thinks he did it to hurt them, why can't they see it was a strategic decision?

Alison and Robert discuss the plan to get Erika out. Alison says it may be their last chance to break up that alliance! Robert says he can get over the PB&J... it's Big Brother's fault, not Jee's. (Holy cow.) Robert says he wouldn't have done it, not for $10k, not for anything.

In addition to the twist, it’s also time for nominations! Jee does exactly what everybody could have predicted – he nominates Jack and Erika. In his speech, he apparently says it is not about revenge. Later, Jun says it’s a “crock of $#!t” and that the whole thing was “predictable.” Erika wants a drink, so Alison gets beer from Jee’s HOH room fridge (he offers). Not sure how the whole PB&J thing works into that, unless it doesn’t start ‘til tomorrow. Robert claims they are going to vote out Erika, but doesn’t want to tell Jun. Which means she should know within the hour. I guess we’ll see…
