Dancing With the Stars 2: Preview – Update

by Jill Jones -- 12/20/2005
We’ve already found out which stars will be dancing on ABC next season, but there has been a replacement! Which celebrity has been forced out by a basketball injury, and who is replacing him? Plus, which professional dancers will be paired with which stars on the second Dancing With the Stars?

Dancing With the Stars 2 isn’t scheduled to begin until Thursday, January 5, and already a change has been made to the dance card.

Rapper Romeo, formerly known as Lil’ Romeo, is bowing out of the competition due to a basketball-related injury. His father, P. Miller (A.K.A. Master P), is currently the CEO of No Limit Records and is slated to take his place. He will be coupled with Ashly DelGrosso, returning professional dancer from last season. They join the already diverse mix of celebrities and their professional dance partners:

Television and film star Tia Carrere will be partnered with Maksin Chmerkovskiy.

Giselle Fernandez, who is an Emmy-award winning journalist, will compete with Jonathan Roberts. Fans of the show will recognize Jonathan from last season.

The always-tan George Hamilton will dance with Edyta Sliwinska, another returning professional dancer.

Stacy Keibler from World Wrestling Entertainment will be partnered with Tony Dovolani.

Former member of 98 Degrees Drew Lachey will get down with Cheryl Burke.

Kenny Mayen of college football and ESPN fame will join up with Andrea Hale.

Academy award-winning actress Tatum O’Neal will dance with Nick Kosovich.

NFL legend Jerry Rice will be partnered with Anna Trebunskaya.

Actress Lisa Rinna will couple with Louis van Amstel, again returning from last season.

Obviously, there are a lot of talented celebrities on this list, but do they have what it takes to be triumphant on Dancing with the Stars 2? Stay tuned to RealityNewsOnline as we recap the show and find out.
