Big Brother: All-Stars, September 7 Live Feeds – When Three Became Two

Good morning, houseguests! Well, that’s what Big Brother says at 9:45 am, but Janelle, Erika, and Mike (who are each sleeping alone) don’t seem to be interested in getting out of bed just yet. Mike and Erika finally get up a little after 10:00, and head to the bathroom to wash the sleep away. Erika questions Mike about his scam. She wants to know why he didn’t tell her that she was the real third member of Chill Town and that they were just playing everybody else. Sure, then he could have had Will run to Janelle and tell her the same thing. What would that have accomplished? Mike feeds her his usual bulls**t. Erika says she will throw the HOH competition to him if he promises to take her to the final two, because she made a promise to Janelle and she can’t break that promise. Kinda like the promise she made to Danielle? Oh, never mind. Of course, Mike agrees. Erika says she could really use the money.

Janelle takes a bit longer to rise and shine, remaining in bed for another 15 minutes. When she gets up, Big Brother tells her to put her microphone on and she asks why, since she’s going back to bed. Ah, but there are other plans and everyone is sent outside for a lockdown. Janelle asks Erika what she and Mike talked about. Erika says she just told him she was upset and he would do an impression later to cheer her up. Janelle says she left another goodbye message about how they figured him out. She reminds Erika of how Chill Town played them and stresses that she has to beat him. Erika says she is nervous and Janelle says she knows the evictees better than Mike does, she’ll be fine.

A bit later, Janelle dozes on the sofa and Erika is in the hammock. Mike walks over to Erika and they discuss their final two deal again. Erika reiterates that she will throw the HOH competition to him if he promises to take her to the final two. She says she can’t take him because she promised Janelle so he has to do it. Mike says if he votes her out then she shouldn’t vote for him at the end. He tells her to cheer up and says he will do his Dr. Zachary impression for her later. Erika says she could really use the second place money and Mike says she will win because they love her and they will not be able to get past Chill Town to vote for him. A plane flies overhead, and around 12:25 pm Big Brother time we get Firecam. Our feeds return fairly quickly and for the next two hours there is much lying around, sighing, and sleeping. What there is not is conversation.

Eventually Janelle asks Mike why he and Krista didn’t work out. Mike says it was a lot of reasons, she came from a small town and the whole Big Brother experience was a lot for her. When they got engaged it put so much pressure on them, people were asking when they were going to get married and he had to go back to work. But in her small town it was all everyone was talking about. Well, Mike, generally when two people get engaged, a marriage does follow. Anyway… Janelle asks if he still talks to her and Mike says she called him on his birthday the following year, then they didn’t talk for three or four years, and then he had a three-way conversation with her and Monica. Janelle asks what that was about and Mike is surprised she didn’t hear about it.

Janelle says she didn’t hear about it and Mike says it was shortly before All-Stars began. He was talking to Monica and said he would see her in a few days but they wouldn’t be able to talk unless they got into the house together. Monica got another call and when she came back she said it was Krista and she told her she was on the phone with Mike. Krista asked what they were talking about and Monica told her they were discussing the show. I’m a little confused because Mike is getting worked up but apparently at some point Krista called Monica back and they ended up in a three-way call. Krista, who Mike says is delusional, said Mike had been on the radio stations down in Louisiana campaigning for votes to get into the house. Mike says when Krista gets an idea in her head you can’t tell her otherwise, no matter how ridiculous they are. She claimed that Mike was playing off their engagement to get himself voted into the house. Monica was quiet and Mike jumped in to tell Krista he had not been on the radio on Louisiana and basically called her out. He starts to talk about Krista saying reporters came to her house and we get Firecam.

About an hour later everyone is back inside. Janelle washes her face in the bathroom and Mike and Erika talk in one of the bedrooms. They go from discussing George’s wife to Mike’s private parts. You don’t want to know. Janelle can’t find her bible, Erika puts more makeup on, and Mike jumps into bed in the bug room. There’s about an hour to the live show and the wandering aimlessly and talking about nothing in particular is in full swing!

Erika and Janelle talk and primp in the bathroom. Erika says she has to win the final round of the HOH competition and Janelle tells her that she will. She believes in Erika and wants to tell Mike that they are not as dumb as he thinks they are. No comment. Erika says if she doesn’t win then Mike will send her home. Janelle says they don’t know who Mike will send out if he wins because he is tricking them. Their moms are watching and praying. Janelle asks if Erika’s mom watches on the Internet and Erika says probably her brother, not her mom. Mike has finished packing his bag and takes it to the storage room, along with Erika’s bag. He asks Erika what she and Janelle were talking about and she says nothing. Mike knows Janelle is making a last-ditch effort to stay in the house, and gives Erika something to put in her pocket. It’s a letter from his mom, and he tells her to give it back to him later (presumably when they both remain in the house as the final two). She says ok but she is scared.

With half an hour to go to the live show, primping is in full swing. The girls are putting MORE makeup on and Mike asks what he should wear tonight. Janelle tells him to wear his Chill Town outfit. She says she wishes she could have gotten the car because it’s a cute car. Mike moves to the workout room, where Erika is—you guessed it—putting on more makeup. She puts some on Mike’s cheeks. They share a kiss and he wishes her luck and says just have fun. Janelle walks in to ask if her dress is showing too much cleavage. Erika asks if there is such a thing and Mike just says, “Oh, God!” Janelle asks what time it is and they say only a few minutes to go. She’s nervous. Mike hugs Erika and they whisper about how many competitions Janelle has won. Big Brother says, “And then there were three,” and our feeds to go Firecam for the live show.

Mike beat Erika in the final round of the HOH competition, and he evicted Janelle by a vote of 1-0 (obviously), leaving Mike and Erika as the final two. Read all about it in Mike’s recap, then click over to David’s analysis of Why Janelle Lost.

After the live show, our feeds return. Mike and Erika are out in the backyard, looking shocked and saying, “Wow!” and “unbelievable!” over and over again. Several times. They discuss how easy Janelle was to maneuver (right, like we’re supposed to believe Erika planned this the whole time) and laugh about the conversations in the storage room that led Erika and Janelle to conclude that they were both being told the same things. They discuss the competitions and Mike says it’s funny how he was so bad at them but the ones he was good at came along at just the right time for him. They talk about the alliances and why certain people had to go when they did. Basically they rehash the whole season. They then talk about food, and say that the Internet feeds are off because they won’t come back on until after the live show, which is at 9:00 pm. Yeah, but it’s Eastern time, kids!

Erika heads inside to get into her bathing suit and Mike tells the camera that if they get a little bit of alcohol he might be able to get some action tonight. Nice. He basically begs Big Brother for some beer or wine. Erika comes back outside and they get in the hot tub and share hugs and kisses. Mike tells Erika he is very happy for her and they hug and kiss some more. Mike says he is happy that Janelle’s eviction was quick and that she was so gracious about it. He then tells Erika that he won the trip to Aruba and the plasma TV in the veto competition. She says, “You’re taking me to Aruba, right?” and Mike says of course. Why do I not believe him?

Erika tells Mike that Janelle’s speech when she evicted Will was Erika’s, she told her everything to say—even the “for Marcellas and Howie” part. All who believe that, stand on your head… She says this all worked out for the best, because she was really mad at him for the past few days. Mike says he is glad he didn’t have to choose between her and Will. They discuss Will and Janelle, and wonder if there are real feelings there. Apparently, before she left, Janelle said at least she would see Will in sequester. Erika talks about the final four alliance that Chill Town let them believe they were in and says the guys were really bad. Mike thanks her. He says maybe the two of them will hook up tonight, who knows. Yeah, because Erika is just that stupid to allow that to happen!

They talk about everything that happened the past week (again) and Erika says she was so mad at him. Hugs and kisses are interspersed with the conversation. Mike starts to do shout-outs to his friends and we get Firecam. When we return they discuss who will be happy about Janelle’s eviction and decide Danielle will be happy, but not Chicken George. Mike asks Erika if she wants more wine and mimics asking the other houseguests, who are no longer there. Mike goes inside to the bathroom and Erika asks the camera how she got here, and says she is tripping. Mike returns. More kissing and hugging, and they talk about the questions Julie asked them. Heavy making out commences.

Still in the hot tub, Mike and Erika talk about the game, rehashing what happened throughout the summer. Erika says she was the good girl who got sucked in by the bad boy(s) and Mike asks if she isn’t really the bad girl. They discuss the evicted houseguests, who was the most strategic player, who did best at the competitions, etc. They also talk about how wonderful they are, mainly Erika, who pats herself on the back over the evictions of Will and Janelle. Mike tells her that it was Will’s idea to embrace Janelle, and it turned out to be a great idea.

Talk then turns to the finale, Mike wants to know how it works. Erika says during her season they voted inside the house, but last season it was on a soundstage. Erika attended the show, apparently. Mike asks if there were a lot of people there and Erika says there were maybe 100. They discuss flying to London after the show and Mike says he can’t believe how big the American Big Brother is over there and Erika says it is huge. They discuss what their friends and family are doing tonight and then more making out commences.

When they come up for air, Erika says Janelle figured out the girls were being played, but Erika figured it out first. Yeah, we believe that one! They discuss what votes they will get from the jury. Mike says he will wear a suit that is hanging in the closet, and Erika says she is going to wear a dress that her mom gave her. Erika laughs about Julie asking them why they were sleeping in separate beds now and says she didn’t know what to say. Throughout this whole conversation the kisses and hugs continue. Mike says, “They don’t get it.” Erika apologizes for evicting Will and Mike tells her not to worry about it. He won Big Brother 2 so he doesn’t need the money. Yeah, that, and there’s the whole doctor thing…

Mike says he doesn’t want to sleep in the red room and Erika says they can put three beds together in the green room and sleep in there. Mike asks her who the greatest player never to win Big Brother is, Danielle or Janelle? Erika says Janelle and Mike says Danielle. They then decide it’s pretty even. Mike gets out of the hot tub and heads inside while Erika goes over to the couch and digs through the ashtray to find a cigarette butt she can smoke. She finds one, smokes it for a few minutes, and then carefully puts it out so she can save it for later. Inside, Mike sits in one of the nominee chairs looking stunned. Erika puts her hands over here eyes and shakes her head, and then starts giving shout outs to her friends. Eventually she heads inside. She asks Mike what he is doing and he says he’s just reflecting and decompressing.

Erika takes a shower as Mike cleans up the kitchen. He then goes into the bathroom to talk to Erika, and they discuss Janelle and the funny things she would say. Erika asks if he wants her to make up the bed and he says he already did it. It’s 10:50 pm Big Brother time and Mike says he is exhausted. Erika says she is too and they both head to bed. After a loud kiss, they roll over and head to dreamland. Good night, final two!
